I know the difference an affordable, healthy breakfast can make for children. Together with local leaders like @patrick_hurley we’re creating more breakfast clubs like this one in Southport. Vote Labour 7th May, so we can give more kids the chance to learn free from hunger.

Asylum hotels massively cut. Small boat crossings down. Crime falling. Constituents have told me they want a system that is firm, fair and works. That is the system Labour is building. #Security #Rugby

By ending the two-child benefit cap, we have delivered relief for millions of children whose families struggled to provide the basic necessities of life. This is the difference we can make together, but only with your support. Vote for your Labour team on the 7th May 🌹

Waiting lists down. Ambulance response times improving. Cancer diagnosed at record rates. Prescription charges held. The NHS is not fixed, but it is moving in the right direction. I will keep pressing for better urgent care closer to home, including at St Cross. #NHS #Rugby

"When I talk to the people who do the tough jobs - nurses, teachers, police officers, soldiers, carers - about why they do what they do, so often they say to me 'because I want to make a difference'". - Gordon Brown, 2008 Celebrating all of our workers this May Day.

The terrorist attack in Golders Green was abhorrent. An extra £25 million will be invested to increase police patrols and security to help keep Jewish communities safe. We will now fast track legislation so we can further combat the activities of malign state-sponsored groups.

The UK's threat level has increased to “severe”. This follows a rising Islamist and Extreme Right Wing terrorist threat, and yesterday's abhorrent antisemitic terrorist attack. People should be vigilant as they go about their daily lives, and report any concerns to the police. Our world-leading police and security services continue to work, day and night, to keep our country safe.

Yesterday’s terror attack was the latest in a spate of vile attacks on the Jewish community. We’re taking action. Today, we’ve increased enhanced funding and we’re fast-tracking legislation to deal with malign state actors. This government will work with police and criminal justice leaders to deliver swift justice. We all have a duty, as a country, to root out antisemitism.

Keir Starmer still hasn’t been to Golders Green. He’s in London, literally 15-20 mins away. Coward.

Unemployment down. Growth up. Minimum wage up. Inflation back under control. Approaching two years in, the direction of travel matters. There is much more to do, but families across Rugby, Bulkington and the Villages are starting to feel the difference. #Labour #Rugby

I am deeply concerned about the terrorist attack that took place today. This is not an isolated incident. It is the latest in a spate of utterly vile attacks on the Jewish community. I’ve just chaired an emergency COBR meeting and tomorrow I’ll be bringing together criminal justice agencies to ensure we have effective and swift justice.

Fifteen months on, I’m so proud that the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act is now law. In those months, we’ve seen why these changes are needed now more than ever – a short thread below on why that’s the case. 🧵

I spoke to GB News about the Westminster obsession with a single appointment. People across the country want a government that gets on with the job, cutting the cost of living, strengthening public services, and delivering real change. We won’t be distracted. 👇🏽

Before the war in Iran I made clear: it is only fair that we have a windfall tax when energy companies make windfall profits, so we can help families with the cost of living. The Tories, Reform, SNP all oppose it. Only this Labour government stands up for working people.

New scanners for our hospitals and free breakfast clubs for our children. We’re not going to let the Conservatives - or their friends in Reform - tear that down.
