Human Rights Defender, Fredrick @odhiamboojiro is reporting very disturbing occurrences from Gem Ramula, Siaya County. Police have burnt 6 houses since yesterday and also untied several cattle releasing them to neighbouring farms. The killer cops Killed 3 people yesterday, and illegally escorted Shanta gold company tractors to bring down Ramula Primary School fence disobeying a court order which stopped the demolitions. More community members are deserting the area for fear of being beaten up and arrested. More than 10 bikes have been confiscated. Police have turned Ramula health center into a Barack with over 500 police and over 20 land cruisers and 2 lories packed at Ramula health center denying the patients access by militarizing the operations. All the businesses have been closed. Shanta gold is allegedly using police officers including DCI officers from Yala Police Station to threaten and intimidate locals who are against the illegal gold mining in Ramula. It's reported that two weeks ago, two vocal young men were illegally arrested and three days ago, three human rights defenders were arrested and are being held at Yala Police Station. Where are Nyanza leaders? There comes a time when silence is Betrayal.

You're good at gaslighting us. We need sustainable systems that get rid of the big man syndrome. How has the life of youths changed if you're just paid 10K once in a year? The only way to empower sports is a vibrant economy which businesses can market through them.
Eddie Butita OGW@eddiebutita

Over 500 people had a job at Vurugu Boxing Match by Obinna. Wow I love seeing youths creating opportunities for other youths. We should have more of this.

I’ll never understand how Kenyan politicians travel abroad see organized cities, functioning systems and proper roads and still come back unable or unwilling to build the same when given the chance, like do you really not feel embarassed?

The completion of the Ngong–Suswa Highway is a major milestone and a true game changer for regional connectivity. Now fully operational, the approximately 70 kilometre tarmac road provides a critical alternative to the often congested Nairobi–Mai Mahiu Road along the escarpment. The highway creates a direct and more efficient link from Ngong Town to Suswa, significantly reducing travel time for motorists heading to Narok, Bomet and Kisii Counties as well as other parts of the larger Western Kenya. The highway is already unlocking significant economic opportunities along the corridor. Farmers and livestock traders in Kajiado County now enjoy faster and more reliable access to markets in Nairobi, enabling them to move produce and livestock more efficiently while reducing transport costs. Improved accessibility has also triggered a steady rise in land value and stimulated new investments, including petrol stations, service centres, hospitality facilities and other roadside enterprises that are creating jobs and expanding local commerce. At the national level, the highway plays an important role in decongesting traffic along the Nairobi–Mai Mahiu escarpment corridor, particularly during festive seasons or in situations where the route is disrupted by accidents, landslides or floods. Through the coordination of the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration, the corridor benefits from strengthened road safety awareness, improved coordination with security agencies and enhanced administrative oversight along the route.

Kindly note this is an aerial view. Imagine how it looks in a close-up? The saddest bit, however, is that this is one of the people you would consider young and competent in government. Political patronage will always take this country back to the gutters.

Will the government please share with us how much money was spent to build this brand new 'highway'? And who was the contractor? Thank you for your attention to this matter. (PS. This is the best part of Ngong-Suswa)

My honest opinion is that the Ngong-Suswa road is one of the shoddiest jobs I have seen in recent times. The contractor, along with the tender committee, should be arrested, jailed, and made to refund the money. And then issue a tender to an actual contractor. That is a death-trap.
Omi@chris_ogai

@FerdyOmondi Please give kenyans your honest opinion on Ngong-suswa road ,line no markings ,no traffic signs, no sharp bend barriers. Yes, it's tarmacked, but the road is very uneven ,very narrow all the quacks the so-called engineers @KeNHAKenya @KeRRA_Ke @KURAroads they need to be jailed .

Comrade Fred @odhiamboojiro is already in Siaya County, Gem Ramula following on human rights violations that happened yesterday, where three people were shot dead by killer cops. Ojiro is reporting that hundreds of anti riot police officers have been deployed in Gem. On the 5th of February 2026, the High Court at Siaya issued Conservatory Orders stopping the operations, illegal eviction and any other meeting related to gold mining in Gem Ramula. The mining company illegally proceeded with illegal meetings in the month of March and using police to threaten and intimidate locals.

William Ruto's killer militia are killing innocent people in Gem Constituency, Siaya County, over gold in Ramula. The residents are protesting illegal eviction from Ramula village. It's reported that two young men, have been shot dead.

Here lies an exhibit of the "at least" mentality that is deeply engrained in Kenya that it seeps into leadership & its cousins, so much it descends to mediocrity. This road and its crooked and lacklustre tarmac are not really worth shouting from the rooftop like this.

Dr. Raymond Omollo — CBS@ray_omollo

Kenya is fast transforming into one vast construction site, with people-centred infrastructure projects rising simultaneously across the country, among them the Makenji Affordable Housing Project (APH) in Murang'a County, whose foundation stone was laid by H.E. President @WilliamsRuto in February 2024 and is now advancing steadily towards completion. The project comprises nine blocks delivering 220 modern housing units across three typologies: 60 three-bedroom units, 100 two-bedroom units and 60 studio apartments, designed to meet the diverse housing needs of families and individuals in the growing town. During its implementation, the project is already stimulating the local economy, creating jobs for youth on-site while supporting suppliers, transporters, hardware stores and food vendors, thereby circulating income within the community and driving growth in related sectors. The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration continues to support the implementation of the project through coordinated oversight, community engagement and provision of a secure and enabling environment.
