The new ballot wording for the Voter ID initiative is designed to scare and mislead voters. The reason it's being distorted is that a fairly worded measure would pass. This is why I introduced legislation to remove the Attorney General's control over ballot language.
Susan Shelley@Susan_Shelley

Seems to me the ballot title that Attorney General Rob Bonta just slapped on the Voter ID initiative is misleading enough to be challenged in court. The initiative prohibits "persons" from voting without presenting ID, not only "citizens." An obvious distinction, except to Bonta.

Are voters sensing a pattern on the Left these days? Not just of radicalism, but also of radicals having histories of mooching off of over-indulgent parents? Platner, Mamdani, Talarico, and Now AOC: Scratch a Commie, Find a Mommy hotair.com/ed-morrissey/2…

Solar is like a severely disabled person (power source) that gets celebrated when it does something any normal person (power source) can do. (Actually produce power when needed.) Always remember: solar is an intermittent fuel saver, not a reliable power source.
Doug Lewin@douglewinenergy

Highest demand day of the year in Texas, first time over 83,000 megawatts. Solar again providing a consistent, reliable 30% of demand; wind and solar combined are at ~50%. Plenty of extra power available, prices are low. No conservation alerts necessary. #txlege #txenergy

I get why Mamdani thought becoming mayor made him the generalisimo president of New York. Growing up in a fancy Ugandan compound with its own private militia will do that to a person.

Unsurprising. The most resentful people in the US are those who believe they are owed everything and fail; the least resentful are those who were given nothing and achieve.

@NateSilver538 The most left wing people in America are people with post graduate degrees who are financially strapped and the most right wing are people without 4 year college degrees who are rich.

Whether an entire election is swayed by illegal votes or not, the acceptable number of foreigners voting in American elections — and canceling out citizen votes — is zero. Ask yourself why a party is vehemently opposed to basic measures to ensure only citizens can vote, while also admitting hundreds of foreigners voted in one state’s recent elections alone.

Mamdani and Abdul El-Sayed are using the same rhetorical manoeuvres. They spend so much time talking about Israel as a scapegoat to everything that is wrong in the US, but when they are asked a question about Israel they don’t want to answer they say “I represent the people of Michigan/NY so let’s not focus on something thousands miles away”. This is such bull#%*+
State of the Union@CNNSOTU

Does Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed think there’s room in the Democratic Party for both supporters and opponents of Israel? EL-SAYED: “There's always room in the tent for folks. And I'm for human rights. I'm for equal rights to peace, dignity, and self-determination. Whatever you think about the right of Israel to exist, I wonder if they have a right to our tax dollars.”
