@NiecyOKeeffe But the pizza was a different experience. I have worked in very high end kitchens and admire the work ethic but think it’s value ends up exaggerated

These Michelin star places are grand twice a decade but they get really boring, quite quickly. I remember we came back to our hotel from one in Dublin and we ordered a pizza. 😂 And the pizza was more satisfying. Years ago. #mastercheftheprofessionals

Due to the Democrat’s Shutdown, I’ve asked the Financial Clerk of the Senate to hold my salary. It’s not right for Members of Congress to be paid if the working men and women of DHS aren’t.

@TheCulinaryLens @VoxPrudentia could be - i never dug into it. that aside, it is true that there are very wealthy people who ride the subway (though certainly it's not common - but neither is being very wealthy)

I take the @LIRR to work everyday and pay $250+ for a monthly “peak” ticket for over 1 year now. I have never had the train come on time a single time. Not a single time. You get to work at least 10-15 mins later than estimated on a daily basis. How has this become acceptable?

@SamGradyWrites It's a semi-well known photo taking by Dorothea Lange, who photographed her travels through America during the Depression.

On average Citibikes are idle 98% of the time and even when used they can only transport one person at the time. This is what the cult calls “mass transportation.”

@Mr_Cohen12345 @NikkiNic9384 @SlopHq Parkchester in The Bronx is not that close but I do think that line has fairly new signals and trains. I have been through the whole shuttle bus nightmare while they were upgrading

@TheCulinaryLens @NikkiNic9384 @SlopHq Might be because your close proximity to the city. For me personally at that time the fact any train becomes your only option. Like there’s always something that happens where you end up in a bus 😂

new york runs trains every 4 minutes at 2am and the rest of america can’t run a bus every 15 minutes at noon. we don’t have a transit technology problem we have an ambition problem. one city decided trains were essential and 300 others decided they were optional

@Mr_Cohen12345 @NikkiNic9384 @SlopHq I travel the 6 from the Bronx at around 1:45 every morning the trains run 20 minutes apart and are generally the same time every morning. Definitely there are delays from time to time but I’ve been fortunate

@TheCulinaryLens @NikkiNic9384 @SlopHq Wait till one idiot does something and it goes to shit. But at 2 am that shit never existed You’ll go on one train platform and a completely different train comes and it’s practically the only one for at least an hour.

@SlopHq Everybody focusing on the four minute error and not the fact that once you leave New York public mass transit essentially vanishes ….just obtuse
