Just in ! Governor Alex Otti says his administration will approve the building of monuments in honour of the heroines of the 1929 Aba women’s uprising. Me -That's a great move. My grandmother was one of the women who led the ABA women's riot in 1929. The riot , initiated by Nwanyeruwa, Adiaha-Edem, and a collective effort of Igbo and Ibibio women in 1929 in Aba, was against the colonial masters for imposing warrant chiefs and taxes in Biafraland , which led to the riot. Bear in mind It is a deceitful strategy intended to evade responsibility, shift blame, and gain sympathy . I encourage all IPOB members globally that in instances where you sense a profound betrayal, especially when the betrayer doesn't recognize their actions and assumes the role of the victim, it is essential for us to prioritize our mental well-being in order to advance in this struggle.
