@MarathonDevTeam Please let me change game settings during matchmaking. Was so hyped when you guys announced we could use menus during MM, then so disappointed when I went to finally be able to change my sensitivity settings during matchmaking and saw that was missing

Hey everyone I've got a bit of an announcement to make. Today, Friday 7/17, will be my last day at Bungie and I'll be passing the torch of Game Director to the very capable and amazing hands of Del Chafe III, who will guide the game forward alongside the Creative Director Julia Nardin. Both of them have been operating in a strong leadership capacity for the team and are ready to guide Marathon into the next chapter with an even better and brighter future. I'm proud of them and I'm excited to see them helm the future of this crazy little world we've created together. As for me, I'll be heading to something new, somewhere else, and will update you on where and what soon. I just want to say a deeply heartfelt thank you to all of you for supporting me and Marathon in our windy mission to bring a dark and terrifying space survival frontier to your screen. The mission will continue in new and surprising ways so stay tuned for what this team has in store for you! It's been a pleasure seeing all the stories you've created, all the clever ways you've found ways to murder robots and one another. Hopefully as I move onto new things, you'll join me for those adventures as well. Much love to the Marathon community and to all my friends and colleagues at Bungie. May we cross paths again. @Ziegler_Dev Are you the reason Marathon used preset Hero characters instead of a Your Own Character? Yeah that ruined the game to me and now it’s not interesting at all, What an awful decision and I’m not the only one who feels this way

@FCE365 I’ve always used an app called Onyx that cleans all this bullshit out for you. It’s basically the desktop equivalent to iCleaner for jailbroken idevices

For over 2 YEARS I kept fighting low storage space on my M1 Mac, almost always nearing 0 space left. The Storage settings panel is a joke. It kept saying Applications consumed 80 GB!! of space when I had at max 10-15 GB in the Applications folder. What the idiotic UI of Storage Settings does not tell you is that Application Data folder, Caches and so on are also counted towards that. It shows you each app and how much it consumes but it doesn't even mention these folders or show you how much they take. Same with Chrome. It sneakily downloads some AI models locally which are 7-8 GB in size!! You can delete them and disable the local AI model in Chrome settings but DAMN! Same with Apple Intelligence. I have it disabled, always had it disabled, yet it eats 7 GB for models I don't use, and deleting them requires going to Recovery Mode and disabling SIP! FUN! Managed to free up 100 GB by just cleaning this shit that was not even showing up in the Storage settings.

@staycationtg I remember it working this good in early season 1. At some point late season 1 the bots stopped giving a fuck about smokes. Now this past week it’s working like the OG smoke used to.

Smokes gotta be the most underrated and underused piece of utility in all of Marathon

@tacotimmer From hospitals reporting confirmed cases to the CDC and other health agencies. Contact tracing hasn’t confirmed some specific source it’s originating from afaik.

I think Xbox gets it. They've seen smaller teams make millions with less budget. They know that they need that, and are trimming the fat. If they can make sure to play to their niche audience and bring these franchises back to where they were before slop like Avowed, I think they can probably make that money.

@mrpyo1 They’re just going to make an external disc drive for it, just like with the PS5 Pro. I can almost guarantee it. As for actually producing games on disc, that’s probably on its way out, sadly for consumers.

More reports why Sony is trying to end physical discs: - They want to cut out the middle man, to make more profit per sale (like remove walmart cuts etc) - Sony thinks the fanbase will not switch platforms, they can do what they please without losing fans - They are convinced by ignoring this issue, they fans will just accept the changes and convert to 100% digital with time. - Sony thinks they are "too big to have commination with fans". Talking to fans has no margin benefit, so they refuse to address fans and will keep doing so I have lost all trust and goodwill with PlayStation, no words what is happening right now. Horrible company

@DMTool1 @OlManMakowski Destiny 1 PvP was amazing. It gave me Halo 2 feels back in 2014-2015 when I played every day.

@OlManMakowski Destiny PvP has never been good. Way too convoluted, even the way the character models work with the gunplay makes skill expression hard. Halo and Marathon are some of the best PvP ever made, I'm not sure why they missed the mark so bad with Destiny

At one point D2 had a bad ass montage scene very reminiscent of the OG Halo days. Could play 6s all day and not get bored. If there is a D3 I hope PvP focuses more on the gunplay and movement. Once ability spam (especially stasis) entered the picture it lost its magic

@TaraBull All the door locks auto lock these days. You can disable the auto lock feature, but nobody does.
