Bourgault guys using Greenstar-is there any way to make the x30 and 4640 communicate? Wheat are you using for your coverage trigger? We are currently using scv1 as our trigger but not ideal since it’s always engaged to run the 410 box.

@TheLastField @JoshMesser_Ag What kind of tractor? I know you have a 4640, we have a cable that connects to the wiring harness on our R series tractor that triggers when openers go down for coverage

@TheLastField I got a wiring harness from deere dealer for when my shanks are engaged it starts mapping on the 4640, outside of that I'm not aware of any way to make the x30 talk with the 4640 while seeding. You can always upload your data at a later date to your ops center though.

@TheLastField You set it up to utilize auto steer engagement. Outside of that I don’t believe it’s very easy to get them to talk. Especially without a controller running on the Deere side.

@JLinvilleFert Been fertilizing since mid march. Still another month to go. At no point in time have I not been able to get what I needed. They are honoring my February price quotes as well.

Question for everyone. Has anyone not been able to buy fertilizer this spring? I know prices are high. I know you might have to wait for it's delivery But has anyone been told "it does not exist to purchase today"? Edit: I also do not mean prices pulled after major events.

Most people who say they want to farm are chasing the identity. Actual farming tests your patience and your relationships, and the ones who last showed up for the work not the aesthetic.

@farmerjim79 Our nearest “dealer” is a JD dealer a couple hours away but they don’t stock any parts or have any knowledge on them. Found a great dealer in Spokane that we’ve been having things drop shipped from so far

@landon707 Preston is a great place (hard for me to say that with them being a rival sport town). There’re close to logan (big city) for shopping but still retain the small town feel. Very engaged community with a strong ag culture
