@TheeJoelLopez A couple tried to advise us against being in a cross-cultural relationship. As I was figuring it out, I realised how God made men and women deeply different and so differences can't be a bad thing in marriage. Anyway, we are engaged now.

God didn't make you and your wife different to frustrate you. You're not opposites. You're complements. The faster you figure that out the better you'll be.

Teachers are out of their minds. Literally one of the easiest jobs in the world. No one else gets paid to prepare for work. Also the kids are dumber, fatter, and more unprepared for the world than they have ever been. But yes let’s pay them more?

We got a pack of onesies as a gift from family Is it just me, or is this one really weird? Pitting a spouse against a parent is bizarre, especially when it comes to A BABY The other onesies just said stuff like "I ❤️ Dad," so I don't think my family even noticed this one If a boy onesie said "I may find my princess but my mom will always be my queen" it'd be like holy complex batman

@lukeappleton getting to the end of their tether and having an outburst. 1. I see this often creates a poor relationship between the parent and child. 2. The angry outburst could be provoking the child to wrath. But the root of it was not disciplining them properly in the first place.

@lukeappleton I think most Western cultures tend towards not disciplining and I actually think it's very cruel to the child. I also think these are not necessarily opposites. I see lots of parents low-level moaning at their children without taking the authority to make them obey, then

Discipline is VERY important in parenting. But the New Testament also says for parents to be tender and not provoke their children to anger. It's a balance.

One cool thing about not having any curtains yet is that the acoustics are top notch for singing!

Faith and thinking are not enemies.

@SkyTheViking My fiance always seems to prefer being next to rather than opposite. I've learned to like it, especially as I actually find eye contact awkward.

When you go on a date with your spouse, do you sit next to them or across from them? I prefer being able to look directly at my husband when we're talking, so we always sit across from one another.
