@thecoachchris_ It's akin to having a fiscal hawk in a body of government and a community hawk. They have different goals both are worth while and having BOTH allows for a happy medium to be struck.

@thecoachchris_ Say the dude who hasn't worked with government contracts. The gov ensures cohesion amongst goods and services that they provide mainly infrastructure. Otherwise we end up like Mexico with little cohesion for public infrastructure. Also people get left behind.

Facts It's great that Jeff Bezos thinks this way, because too many people who don't make money think that giving money to the government will solve a lot of their problems. They think these government programs are the answer, and it's clearly not. You can look at the federal level or at the state level, and you will see that a lot of government programs are simply waste.

This is what our society fails to comprehend. If I work as a physical therapist, and I’m good, I’ll make $100,000/yr. And pay $15,000 in taxes. I can see 60 patients per week. But that’s the end of it. No additional tax money, no more patients can get my services. I provide a living for myself and my family. If I own a practice and employee 10 therapists that each make $100,000, now I’m providing a living for 10 families, and because of my efforts there is now $250,000 in tax revenue. So why should businesses get taxed more? Why should they even have to pay payroll taxes? My value to society is way more than 10X at this point. But the vast majority of Americans can’t comprehend that, neither do our congressional representatives.

I'm testing tree generation using only two reference images. Basically, my Gaussian Splatting generation technique works with almost anything. I can't wait to see the final result once I’ve gathered a huge library of realistic assets for my game. For optimization, I’m planning to use a LOD system that dynamically reduces the number of Gaussian splats based on the distance from the camera.

Gaussian Splats are interesting technology, I saw one open-source scene last night and put it into one of my game. Want to share it here, this is how future web games might look like. 📷 Especially since now with AI synthetic data can be created.

@garrytan Please explain the "billions" in local economies? It's my understanding they don't generate "sales" tax in some local economies so they produce no revenue outside the few maintenance workers in the area of that economy. What are the "jobs" besides quick construction gigs.

Sanders and AOC introduced a bill to pause ALL AI data center construction. 300+ local bills filed. Half of planned 2026 data centers facing delays or cancellation. Each one brings billions to local economies. The people who say they want American jobs are trying to block the biggest job creation engine since the interstate highway system.

My home research hardware stack is built around a homogeneous collection of NVIDIA computers together with network-attached storage, a robot (for embodiment), and a camera, microphone, speaker, and keypad (for human-computer interaction). The stack fits in a 12U 10" server cabinet, consumes on the order of 750 W, and provides approximately 4.5 PFLOPS FP4-equivalent along with 27 TB primary storage and 36 TB secondary storage.

It is time for the United States Postal Service to ban junk mail. Unsolicited spam calls are already prohibited by the FCC. Emails are heavily regulated by the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003. Junk mail is the majority of mail, 100 million trees per year. Enough!

@BooksByHarry @GovNuclear You know a neighborhood with 2,000 units would get 200 of these spread throughout the neighborhood and bam everyone's energy costs are super cheap and no down time in grid outages... Think new homes.

@GovNuclear Why are we creating power for 10 homes? That is not enough for a data center, or most neighborhoods. Is this just a testing unit? Feeling lost.

California’s wealth tax would cost Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang $8 Billion. His response was simple: “I don’t mind paying taxes.” “Once a year we get a bill, we pay it, and it’s big. I never once thought about it. We love this country. That’s our way of giving back.”

Neural networks might speak English, but they think in shapes. Understanding their rich *neural geometry* is key to understanding how they work – and to debugging and controlling them with precision. Starting today, we’re releasing a series of posts on this research agenda. 🧵

This is cool science but irresponsible marketing. No, the models don’t “think in shapes.” These are visual representations of the structure of the weights. They shape the autoregressive trajectory during generation, but there’s no sense in which the model is cognizing those shapes while generating. That’s like saying a boat is thinking in waves.
