I get a lot of Tesla-hate comments online with my videos, but rarely in person. Tonight was different... At the local car wash, an old bloke in a diesel ute told me to "get a life" when he saw me filming the Model Y Performance. I told him "this is my job". He responded by saying "it's not your job, you don't have a job, get in your toy car and fuck off" He was so angry at this point, I did in fact get in my car and drive away without saying a word. I tried to have empathy for him .. 'his life must be shit', 'he doesnt understand why I'm filming', 'he doesnt understand EVs' Although I was rattled, I decided to not let him win and get straight back to filming content that helps thousands of people switch to Teslas. Just to mention that the window is called an oriel. Similar to a turret on an old Victorian, you sometimes see them on those like the Pillow Thompson home from yesterday. An oriel window is a form of bay window which protrudes from the main wall of a building but does not reach to the ground.[1] Supported by corbels, brackets, or similar cantilevers, an oriel window generally projects from an upper floor, but is also sometimes used on the ground floor.

Happy Birthday to K-9 Lucca who turns four years old today. She is a Dutch Shepherd born in the USA from Dutch parents. Lucca is trained in electronics detection and is one of the few dogs in the state or country with this skill. She can find cell phones, thumb drives, hard drives, SIM cards and other electronics with a level of confidence that makes tech support nervous. Deputy Uhrlaub is Lucca’s partner in fighting crime. She can launch herself over obstacles with the kind of airtime that makes superheroes jealous and will chase a ball much longer than her handler can throw it. You cannot tell from the photo, but K-9 Lucca loves the snow and becomes a blur of joy the moment she hits it.

Ish. She is not perfect yet, but she’ll get there.

In 1904, G.Paulding Farnham a jewelry designer for Tiffany&Co. created this very special chrysanthemum brooch... The stem and leaves, which are naturalistically rendered are pavé set with diamonds. The flower is created of Mississippi River pearls set in a gold supporting frame. The unique shape of these river pearls makes then an ideal choice for this particular design. Mississippi River pearls are a type of fresh water pearl found in a large species of mollusk native to the river. The pearls found in these mollusks are rarely round, tending to elongate and sometimes tooth-like shapes. Round ones are quite rare. Because of the large size of the mollusk, a species of fresh water mussel, a single one might have dozens of such pearls within it.
