@TurtizzleLive @MurrayHillGuy1 I personally keep a handful of Greek yogurt in my jacket pocket for those times when I cant eat the ground beef at the bottom of my backpack. Just dip a finger in the pocket and boom 2 proteins

@MurrayHillGuy1 Protein bars contain alot of other unnecessary ingredients. Many contain items that are not that healthy, contain fat and lots of sugar. There are much healthier (and cheaper) ways to consume high amounts of protein.

My friend eats 5–6 protein bars a day, 2–3 scoops of powder, and ground beef for dinner. Gained 25 lbs in 4 months… barely any muscle. Are protein bars/powder just the biggest fitness scam?

@Memento_Gallery I can't fathom how we're all collectively sleepwalking regarding the very real existence of this. I also don't know the way to correctly step out of my house after fully acknowledging that such atrocities actually are without a doubt occurring. It's reality altering and so silent

Something that keeps me up at night these days is that yes we didn’t see everything from those files, but even if we did, the entirety of that material is still nothing compared to all the conversations that did not happen via email and events that weren’t recorded/photographed.

Artists have stopped sharing their works, writer's have stopped sharing their work, now engineering will stop sharing their work all thanks to generative artificial intelligence. Looks like a step backwards for humanity, what GenAI has done.
Julia Turc@juliarturc

We used to open-source libraries in order help other humans. But now I don't care if Anthropic saves 1,000 tokens thanks to my library. The only way I see this working is some sort of marketplace where developers offer AI-optimized libraries and the clankers choose to pay when they predict it'll save them tokens.

@Authw8 I despise timing missions. Easily worse than escort missions. And a game full of them? Hard pass.

i'd make a superman game where you really are invincible, but can still fail missions because the enemy gets away, too many people die, you run out of time, etc. build in a civilian casualty system and a reputation meter. include some puzzle elements, force the player to make tough decisions under pressure. could be a pretty fun game imo.

how to maintain friendships as an adult: > find habits & routines that keep your friends in your life. > stop getting in your head if it's been a while since you've connected - people want to hear from you!!! > stop prioritizing *work* every time people... friends often outlast jobs just saayyyying > staying in touch doesn't have to be high effort: random texts, voice memos while you're walking, quick facetimes > you can hang 1:1 OR invite them to activities you already do - a very natural 'in' since it's already in your schedule! > celebrate their wins genuinely (new jobs, relationships, accomplishments) AND be there during the hard times > you can host small gatherings at your home to see multiple friends at once > remember the details about them - what they do, where they moved, the name of their partner - the little things matter > be honest about what you need in the friendship. "would love to do monthly dinners - does that work for you?" AND put in effort to make it happen > treat maintaining friendships as you would exercise - give it your time & energy just as YOU change over time, so are your friends STAY curious about who they're becoming!!! reach out!!! make plans!!! you got this!!!

The comments section of this post is depressing. The men posing awful comments don’t realise that what they are saying is the very reason girls do not feel welcome to pursue careers in games. Initiatives like this are important to overcome that. The games industry is so difficult to navigate, but a lot of women developers do succeed. People also forget not every game is for them. And that’s okay. More diverse developers, whether gender, race or class means more diverse games and stories. For everyone who says “where are the initiatives for boys?” There are lots of initiatives of kids of both genders to learn code, art, music and design. But it’s not the boys being told they aren’t welcome. It’s not always easy being a woman in games. I like to think I’ve not been treated any different for my gender but the reality is I likely have I’m just choosing to ignore it and move forward. But we don’t want special treatment, we want an equal footing. But when you’re throwing mud, we start off sunk a little deeper.
