@ukeastcoast @JanetHughes At Rookery In our own field trial’s we didn’t see that, shallow till gave the worst yield and margin but direct drill and plough were equal on yield which meant DD gave the best margin. There are many other scenarios though that can quickly change the result.

@JanetHughes @cutlerstom Hi Janet, what about my issues which no one seems to be able to help with our CS has a further year to run or can I opt out of our CS early to get SFI to work?

Feeling frustrated with Sfi 23 our CS rotational option fields are stopping us from selecting actions taking whole field parcels out of the scheme @JanetHughes must be a software glitch struggling to get any sense through the proper channels 🤷‍♂️

@cutlerstom @JanetHughes 🤷‍♂️ I would think it’ll have a warning against the actions until cs agreement ends. Ours has another year to run but if the field has been selected to have a rotational cs option on weather it has 0.4ha ab9 on or nothing makes no difference we still cannot use it for Sfi actions.

@TheRookeryFarm @JanetHughes I have a CS agreement ending in Dec. I’d like to roll some of the options into SFI like AB1/8/9. Do I have to wait until the CS scheme is finished to make the application so it doesn’t throw up any errors? Or can I do the donkey work now and hope the errors clear after 31/12?

@TWBFarms @neverfinished That’s great but logistics wise Is the loader travelling to and from farm yard or are you getting seed out of a grain trailer?

This bucket is JUST for seed, we test all our farm saved seed and treat if required with kit we have here … in 15yrs of testing i’m yet to need to apply ! Seed treatments are the most oversold (high margin!) product in UK ag - default use is environmentally corrupt and financially damaging

We have now almost completely got rid of bulk bags on the farm which is a massive step forward for operator safety and less plastic waste in the environment 👍

What I meant is the way in which demand for electric is being created which is causing the problem i.e by the vast amount of electric cars being sold.

My Dad's Great Aunt refused to have electricity, even in the 50s, as she thought it was unnatural.... It very much is. Renewables backed up by nuclear and an electric energy network and use. We need it, at speed and scale.

It’s shocking how Bolshie @nationalgriduk @FisherGerman are being with these potential new pylons. Can anything be done @Jochurchill_MP ? It appears @RishiSunak and @Conservatives don’t have our back as farmers in Norfolk,Suffolk and Essex.

We need many extra wires to handle the load on the grid that's coming from all those generators. There's a new power line coming up near us, doesn't bother me, and the cormorants love the one at Fairburn
