Parenting idea: Teach your kids about yard work early and give then an "area" to take care of and plant whatever they want.

I don't often tell wives what to do or how to act to be GREAT WIVES. There's great female accounts (married women showing receipts) that do that I recommend you follow. @GiaMMacool @MonicaMAlmaguer Are a couple. But I want to share something that my wife did a couple weeks ago that I believe ALL WIVES can learn from. My wife was upstairs helping our eldest daughter with math. I was downstairs playing teenage mutant ninja turtles with my two 5 year old sons. They had both eaten all their dinner & said, "dad we are still hungry can we have some mac-n-cheese?" I'll admit my wife makes 99% of the food. I stay out of the kitchen except to clean up. But, I didn't want to bother her & figured how hard can it be :). Well, I forgot to ADD WATER..... so 2 minutes later the microwave is almost on fire! The Mac-n-cheese is in ashes! My wife & daughter come running downstairs as they smell the smoke. Here's the thing: •I instantly say MY BAD I WAS TRYING TO MAKE THE BOYS MAC-N-CHEESE. I believe 90% of wives would say something unkind here. -You're always messing up...... -Why would you do that..... -You could've burned the house down.... I was already beating myself up though & felt dumb. I was instead met with: -Thanks so much for trying to get the boys food. -It's an easy mistake don't worry. -Don't beat yourself up you were trying to help! Two weeks later she never brought it up once. I've made plenty of mistakes. Everyday I probably do a lot of things great as a husband & a couple things I could do better. My wife always CHOOSES to focus on the good. I extend that same grace to her as well. We all fight enough battles everyday. I love our kids, but they drain me. (They aren't waking up thinking how can I fill dad's cup today!) Work, clients, bills, chores, deadlines, etc....... everyday we all face these. In marriage my wife & I strive to make our home peaceful, be kind to one another even in times we mess up the Mac-n-cheese. Give your spouse some grace. Be kind & show gratitude today. Also, add water before making mac-n-cheese :)

I ALLEGEDLY have 255,000 + followers, but it's back to feeling like 6 years ago when I had 255 followers again. Most replies are AI. If you're REAL: please drop a hi, emoji, something good you're proud of, merry Christmas or something & let's see who is still here! 🙏

Did the Messiah really rise on Easter Sunday? Scholars say yes. Sceptics say no. So I wanted to find out for myself... Here's the REAL truth behind the resurrection (and why it's not just a fairy-tale): 🧵

Unpopular (but wise) opinion: I see this idea floating around that because DOGE is cutting so much money off the federal budget they are going to send every American like $5,000. Have we learned nothing? PAY OFF THE 36 TRILLION DOLLAR DEBT!!!! We collectively owe $36,219,764,087,578. More dollars simply means more inflation & higher cost of goods. Pay off the debt & then end property taxes, estate taxes, etc. & let WE THE PEOPLE KEEP OUR MONEY. Make the tax code so simple my 4th grader could understand it. It's 72,000 pages currently. For reference THE BIBLE (a large book) is 1,200 pages. BALANCE THE BUDGET!!!

Merry Christmas from the Shoups. Missing our youngest and his bride, but happy to spend time with the rest of our family including our first grandchild (Olivia). May God bless your family this Christmas, too!

@TheShoups Our house, too. Except the “sets the boxes” part is a lot more like “throws them with a vengeance out of the door from the house into the garage.”

Adam B. Coleman, Proud Father & Imperfect Man
There is so much negativity on here about men and women. We need a "Happily married" Twitter. Just happy normal married couples who love each other, posting pictures and discussing healthy relationship advice. Here is my contribution to #HappilyMarried

I recently read about man who collects pictures of hitters who had hit walk-off home runs. He said that the reason he did this is because this is how he views us entering heaven. Look at the faces of his teammates waiting to welcome him home. Look at their excitement. They can’t wait to celebrate with him. Look at the fans. Arms raised, big smiles, maybe even hugs for a perfect stranger. Perhaps this is your first holiday season without someone important who is now waiting for you in heaven. Maybe it’s just another one with that big hole in your heart and an empty seat at the table. Either way, I hope you can find encouragement in this picture, what it represented to the man who collected it, and find joy this year. #heaven #hope #joy #grief
