With Chelsea tactically it will always be defence first and the defensive behaviour of Enrique teams doesn’t scream Chelsea to me. Chelsea need to move forward replicating 18/19 Liverpool, 16/17 Spurs and RB Leipzig’s model, forget copying Pep’s City and Sarri’s Napoli.

442s been really good defensively when the ball gets to the wide areas whoever’s defending is not willing to give up territory to Liverpool. A bit too direct for who’s on the pitch though, when they go direct not enough support to attack the spaces.

I like the idea from Potter here, I think it’s similar to what De Zebri did getting Liverpool to press and free up the wide areas, think he might’ve made a blunder with the back 3 in possession though because Liverpool don’t turn into their situational 4312.
