Gulf states are still intercepting drones. 13 American service members are dead. Over 3,400 Iranians killed. 1,500 dead in Lebanon. And this administration has the nerve to call this a win. They light the world on fire and then take credit for calling the fire department.

Let's cut through this selective timeline you laid out: Trump issued a brutal, unmistakable warning over the Strait of Hormuz, the chokepoint Iran's regime was weaponizing to strangle global energy and fund its proxies. That wasn't just some bluster for fun, it was quite literally combatant messaging 101 in asymmetric conflict against an enemy that only respects raw and credible power. Jihadist Islamists like the IRGC, Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis, and their ilk don't negotiate in good faith or respond to polite diplomacy, and you absolutely know this. @TheSteeFund I don't know why the Wilmington City Council did that. I disagree with them over that decision and many others. I am elected County Commissioner, which is a different political office.

The recent violence in downtown Wilmington is tragic and unacceptable. It MUST STOP immediately. I grieve for the victims and their families. Simply put, our citizens, businesses, and tourists deserve much better. At a minimum, we need to deploy more law enforcement in the streets, especially as bars are closing. I have spoken with the Sheriff and have encouraged him to help the City however he can in downtown. He is ready, as he always is, to work with the Chief of Police to provide any assistance and support needed and requested. We are taking this violence very seriously and it will be confronted and addressed. -Commissioner Dane Scalise

It’s a generic line‑item price screenshot with no hospital name, no patient info, no CPT codes, no insurance adjustments, no facility fee, and no radiologist charge. Real emergency bills always include those fields. This looks like a de‑contextualized or recycled billing screenshot being reposted as “my ER bill,” not a verifiable medical invoice.

Nearly a year ago, my wife went to the hospital for stomach pain. They did a CT Scan of her abdomen and thankfully didn't find anything serious. We got a bill in the mail of $9,117.42 I spent months talking to insurance, the hospital, billing appeals... I was told the claim was still processing. I was told the claim was out of the normal service area. I was told it wasn't clear it was medically necessary. I was told the insurance wasn't valid on the date of service. Finally, we got it handled, but it took well over 6 months from the day we got the first bill to the day we finished the process and paid. We did everything right. We have insurance. We pay our insanely high premiums every single month. It's just so frustrating. This whole healthcare system is broken, from top to bottom.

@matt_vanswol My brother got hit head on by a drunk driver with no drivers license or insurance and was in ICU for 3 weeks as a result. 4 years later the hospital put a lien on his home for $856,000. Roughly half of that was from imaging fees alone.
