At 14, she built a real airplane. At 16, she flew it alone. When MIT rejected her, she sent them a video of the plane she built instead. Their reply: "Start next semester." She later graduated with a perfect GPA, was cited by Stephen Hawking, and turned down offers from Google, Facebook, and Jeff Bezos. Instead of chasing money and fame, she chose to focus on understanding the universe.

@boomstickbabe Good luck finding another company that doesn't have this policy. I thought it was pretty standard for any company large enough to have an HR department.

I just got a call from an old friend who wants to discuss an issue they are encountering at their company. Keep in mind this person has been employed with this company many years, is in the trucking industry and the company is a national brand. I will not share the name of the company just yet as to not put a target on the person who called me. The employee (who is pro gun and a student of mine for training and concealed carry) received a notification from corporate informing them of a new policy that will eradicate concealed carry of any form of defensive tool for all employees nationwide. No guns No knives No pepper spray No tools of self defense This is a trucking company with employees all over the USA traveling at all hours times and locations. I said this is absolutely ridiculous, unconstitutional and inappropriate for a national company to mandate employees to sign away their civil rights in order to work for the company. The form said the company reserves the right to terminate employees based on this policy if they violate the terms and asked all employees to sign the policy. This sounds like a HUGE lawsuit to me. Tag some 2A attorneys and let me know what you think. Also: I told the employee that by staying involved with companies like this helps them continue to stay active in their anti gun narrative. I would look for another job. Complacency is compliance. This county was founded on a gun grab - research the battle of concord. How have we regressed so much that its okay to disarm people based on fear and feelings?
