@RyanHoliday Empathy isn't "considerate." And the empathy you see is bastardized. It only applies to the most oppressed. If a girl doesn't want a man in her locker room, the only empathy is for trans and not for the girl. The only empathy is for the rapist and not for the raped.

My friend had a brutal breakup about a year ago.
After it happened, he basically disappeared into the gym. Lost like 30 pounds, lifted every single day, and somehow turned himself into an absolute unit. He was always strong, but now he looks insane.

Well the context included both and "if" and a "close to", which were additional signs that I did not believe it was really a mistake without quotes.
By the way, in the case of my sentence above, the quotes are to indicate direct quotes, as opposed to the word really not being appropriate, because adultery is always a choice.
