Sadly, I'm not surprised it's a German company. I've spoken to several devs here that are a lot more distrustful of AI than the rest of the world. To the point I thought they were all just performing as a way to say their code is better than AIs. Which is obviously delusional in most cases.

I donated a lot of money to Codeberg. Now they're banning AI code from the platform entirely. I'm not very happy about it.

@rxhit05 By miles. It feels much more autonomous. Setting up quick loops with it feels almost natural.

@OpenAIDevs @OpenAI, I promise I won't hate merging Codex with ChatGPT, but please bring back the default sorting by last activity (with last activity timestamp). At least as a customization.

We’re bringing Codex and ChatGPT together in one desktop app. The same powerful coding agent, now alongside ChatGPT Work, with new coding workflows, a new Chrome extension, revamped in-app browser, and faster Computer Use powered by GPT-5.6. x.com/OpenAI/status/…
OpenAI@OpenAI

Introducing ChatGPT Work, a new agent in ChatGPT powered by Codex and GPT-5.6. It can take action across your apps and files, stay with a project for hours if needed, and turn a goal into finished work. It’s a whole new way to get work done.

Huge moment for Base UI. 2.5 years of extremely hard work from a small, obsessive team. shadcn/ui has shaped how a generation builds React apps. Now, we have a chance to raise both the floor and the ceiling for UI quality across the web. Excited to see how far we can take it.
shadcn@shadcn

Starting today, we are making @base_ui the default component library in shadcn/ui. First, a bit of history. When shadcn/ui launched in 2023, it was built on Radix. At the time, nothing else came close. Headless. Accessible. Composable. Fast forward a few years and the team who built Radix are building something new: Base UI.

Weird realization today: therapy is basically training yourself to become better at prompt-engineering the conversation you’re already having with yourself.

An advice that goes beyond working with agents: - Find and fix the loops. Your future self will thank you.

@colmtuite Interesting. Red translates to "vermelho" in portuguese. Vermillion translates to "vermelhão" which is basically how we would emphasize red; something like"big red"

designing a color system with adhd: - you learn orange/red is called vermillion - spend 30 mins down that rabbit hole - remember vermillion by slipknot and put it on - notice 17,362 a11y issues in spotify - spend 4 hours exploring ways to solve them in base ui - close laptop

Reality is the best fiction. The world is now waiting for the “bad guys” to rescue us from the “good guys” with the next new open source model.

@thsottiaux Whenever you have another chance, project terminals in addition to thread-linked, please? 🙈 That'd work wonders, especially when working from our phones.

We've moved more than 50% of Linear to StyleX so far. It's given us more control over how components compose, what can be overridden, and improved render performance too.
emil@emilwidlund

As a first blog post, I'm writing about how @polar_sh is steering away from Tailwind to StyleX in an effort to futureproof our frontend. Making it impossible to express an off-brand decision. If a value isn't a design decision, it should not typecheck. What do you want to know?

Three tries to get a journal entry reveal animation right in my game. Clip-path wipe, too subtle. IntersectionObserver, triggered on mount instead of scroll. CSS transition on a class toggle, 2 lines, worked perfectly. The boring solution won again
