You'll get a final warring asking you to pay, if you don't you'll have to do this community work at the lowest legal pay per hour and if you fail that too then it's jail

@smolclap @TheWildSheep1 @CarlBMenger You'd have to commit fraud on a government document when you file for bankruptcy or after you lose the civil suit and claim to have no assets. It would be a felony.

Thought experiment: What would happen if we all took out the biggest loan any of us could get, bought #Bitcoin with it, put the coins into cold storage and default on the loan? I mean no one could take your #Bitcoin, that’s for sure.

@EmmettBrownMD @smolclap @CarlBMenger I am speaking from experience as I received a couple of years ago one of these from a judge for unpaid traffic fines (total about 3K Euro) and discussed with a friend lawyer and he explained this to me and it also said so in the papers I got from the judge.

@EmmettBrownMD @smolclap @CarlBMenger If you have no assets and owe money to the government you'll have to go an do "community work" like clean the streets, the parks etc, and they deduct a small amount for each day from what you owe and if you fail to go and do this community work you will be sent to jail.

@CarlBMenger Also EU (Eastern Europe) and things are a bit different here. You can def go to jail even for unpaid fines for larger amounts. You can get away with many things but don't fuck with the state's money

@TheWildSheep1 Where are you from Mate? In western democracies you can’t get imprisoned for not paying your debt. In Austria you file for bankruptcy and you debt free after 3-5 years.

Non-disclosure agreements and monetary payments should be banned in sexual assault and harassment cases. It wouldn't stop all the false accusations. But it'd prevent many of them by removing a monetary incentive. If it happened, file criminal charges.
