I could use some help... I came back to church after years away and I'm still figuring a lot of it out... but what is going on with the "Christian Leftists"???? These are people who know Scripture better than I do... but the SAME PEOPLE turn around and tell me a kid in elementary school can know 100% that they were born in the wrong body. That puberty blockers are healthcare. That get flustered and extremely angry at any reasonable question I throw at them about it. That actually to question any of it is a form of sin in someway? These people will literally say the church is too White. As if whiteness itself is a big problem or a sin and that we need to repent of being white, and fix it in a room full of people who showed up to worship Jesus. Can someone explain this to me? How on earth does this make any sense from someone who is supposed to be a Christian? How did these Christians get to this place? How did a faith built on the goodness of creation, the dignity of the body, the truth that every person bears the image of God regardless of skin, end up getting SO sucked into these Leftist slogans? What I notice is that every position the Christian left holds happens to track PERFECTLY aligns with the cultural arguments of the Leftist political movement. Every single one. Trans kids. Race. Sexuality. Borders. Guns. Climate. And they'll use the Bible, in genuinely bizarre fashion and slogans to uphold these political beliefs. Like "love thy neighbor" for example, to say that illegal immigrants didn't do anything wrong. "The least of these" somehow means trans kids or something? "Turn the other cheek" somehow means that criminals should never be held accountable for crimes. It seems, and I could be wrong, that a LOT of Christians are using politics to shape their faith. Not the other way around Maybe I'm missing something. I'm willing to be wrong. But from where I'm sitting it looks FAR LESS like Christians are wrestling with hard questions and more like a version of Christianity that has agreed to push forward every argument the culture wants it to... What's going on with the Christian church??????

I think Spencer Pratt is the only choice aside from a Demoncrat who can win. Hilton is a decent guy with more experience in political matters, but the independents and disaffected left will label him a Fox News hack. He can’t overcome that. Pratt has marketing savvy and emotional momentum—key for winning L.A. mayor. This ex-Angeleno will be supporting him for mayor.

@CarrieMyHart My mother had dementia and was quite combative and angry. I am saying a prayer for you and your husband right now. God be with you on this most difficult and painful journey.

I am going through taking care of my husband of 40 years while he is on hospice care now. He is going through the combative stage where he is mad at his body and can't control it. He refuses to take the meds they want him to take and yells most of the time he is awake. I like to tell people he always talks like a sailor because he was one. He is so strong and so determined to get the most out of this life, that he will sometimes stay awake 24 hours, and then of course I have too also. I have no complaints as I would not want to be anywhere else but right here by his side. I cannot even begin to think what my life will be like without this man. If you would take just a few minutes, I would appreciate some prayers for him. Thank you.

5th Gen Californian here who left for WA State in 1990 and misses my home state for exactly the things you mentioned. My hubby and I are approaching retirement and would love to return to a more affordable, conservative policy state of CA. It is a perfect state for weather and staying active year round outdoors. Elect a Republican Gov. down there already!

California gets a bad rap — and a lot of it is earned thanks to the dumpster fire policies ruining our cities. But man, this state is still one of the most beautiful places on God’s green earth. I’ve lived here since 1993 and I’m not going anywhere. The weather is straight-up perfect. I can ski in the morning and hit the beach in the afternoon. The mountains, the coastline, the redwoods, the desert… it’s all here in one state. Big Sur, the Pacific Coast Highway, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, and vineyards everywhere! History you can feel in the air. Beaches with that classic surfer vibe. Family happy, church strong, friends that feel like brothers. Yeah, the politics are a textbook case of what happens when one party runs things into the ground. But I’m staying and fighting for the California I love. This touched me deeply. Doctors told me to “terminate” my healthy, now-27 year old son in the womb at barely ten weeks gestation due to my HG (hyperemesis gravidarum afflicting less than 2% of pregnant women) causing my organs to shut down. My husband and I chose life for my baby and miraculously, doctors found another solution to help me recover. God is good!
