A Wife’s Tears, A Nation’s Conscience: Let Justice Have a Heart. I woke this morning in America and was deeply moved by an emotional viral video of Hajiya Asiya El-Rufai, prompting deep reflection on our nation’s future. Regardless of the allegations against Mallam Nasir El-Rufai or any other citizen, justice must be transparent and fair, with reasonable bail conditions that should not be seen as punitive before trial. In a democracy governed by the rule of law, institutions exist to protect every citizen's rights, regardless of their background. We must resist any hint of selective justice that erodes public trust and threatens national unity. Those tasked with enforcing our laws must act professionally and strictly follow due process. Let us strive for a Nigeria where the law is paramount, and where every citizen is guaranteed dignity and justice. This is the foundation of the New Nigeria we envisage. -PO

@MOluwatobi1 @gbengadewoyin How can you be young, supposedly in IT and yet you fan tribal conflicts on the internet? You know that was the Nigerian flag in the original photo but you had to edit it to incite people.

@Cardiff008 @MrKimmKE How do you mean by credible? The site allows you to automatically transcribe using ai. So instead of spending time listening and tying out, Ai transcribes it for you. Then you can simply read through it and make corrections. This saves you time.

@elnathan_john If anything you should blame the average Nigerian electorate who seems focused on such trivalities. The questions are usually a reflection of what is trending offline and it makes sense that he addresses them. 2/2

@elnathan_john I think you are not being fair to Mr Peter Obi. There is a reason such discussions are coming up which is the need to clarify a lot of allegations against him. Its not like he took himself online to say that he is poor or has one shirt and should be voted because of that. 1/2

One reason why this kind of commentary is not useful is that this is what every politician says or implies. I don’t need to steal money because I am already rich. Or, I don’t like money, I have been using the same watch since 1905. Or I have no house in Abuja. This means absolutely nothing. What does it mean to a poor Nigerian to tell them you are already rich and this whole political adventure is even hurting you? Are you more hurt financially than any poor Nigerian who cannot buy kerosene or put food on the table? Nigerian politicians who ruin the country or enable corruption don’t do it because they are poor. Or because they are stupid. They do it because the entire system runs on a massive cycle of pecuniary and parochial incentives. Buhari as far as we know did not amass stupendous wealth as president but still he made the country significantly poorer. Nigerian politicians who are powerless in the face of elite capture of the state don’t need to be personally corrupt for this to happen. We need politicians to have a clear workable plan for ending poverty, building infrastructure and institutions, reducing corruption, fighting terrorism and building a nation that isn’t balkanised between competing tribal interests that only serve those in power. Nigeria doesn’t need another person who will tell them he is doing them a favor by running for office or that in fact he is getting poorer. We don’t need more of “I am a good guy, trust me bro.” What is your plan exactly? How will you deal with strongly entrenched interests who profit from this dysfunction and who would rather see the country break apart than lose their power and influence? Why should Nigerians who have heard these kinds of sweet nothings and who might see you as a regional champion (however wrong they may be) trust that you can actually do things differently and will not just capitulate once in power? He might be the least problematic of the presidential candidates but his messaging is piss poor, and must improve if he is to get support beyond his current cult following, enough to successfully challenge the very determined incumbent.

"In 1987, American Express introduced platinum card for 5000 people, here is mine, they later introduced the Black card (Centurion card) in 1999 for 1000 people on the planet, here is mine. I had a viable business and while I don't regret going into Politics, it made me poorer." - Peter Obi, NDC Presidential Candidate.

@Yelloweisland @Jollz Yes, a 3 story building needs a lift, but realistically for Nigeria, it needs atleast running water. Low income doesnt mean it shouldnt be usable. While I know there are lots of 3 story buildings in Nigeria that has neither, that doesnt make it ideal.

@The_Real_EBUKA @Jollz 3 stories needs a lift? We need to be realistic. Are you suggesting we continue in our bungalow spree as cities sprawl out more? Many people will rather rent those lift-less top floors at a lower cost than rent out of town. Remember, these are supposed to be low income housing.

@Yelloweisland @Jollz You need elevator for a six story building. Even a 3 story needs an elevator, so how are you going to solve that for mass housing if people dont have electricity or water running in their homes?

@Jollz 6 floors is not too much to ask for. It's doable. It mustn't be skyscrapers. The alternative is urban sprawl; building houses far away from city centers which will require a longer commute with more expensive transportation and the construction of new roads.

Created my second app on Claude Code today! It took 45 minutes to get to the first working version. Challenge - An app that transcribes the calls of our call center agents, creates minutes, and updates Freshdesk. Works on Windows and Mac. Using Gemini to do the transcription. Gemini again helped, where Claude got stuck. I am enjoying this...our team will start using it next week.
