Zimbabwe’s biggest funeral assurance group, Nyaradzo, has bought the Glen Forest cemetery, which will now be called the Sahwira Glen Forest Memorial Park. The Nyaradzo Group was founded by Zimbabwean serial entrepreneur Philip Mataranyika. The new Sahwira Glen Forest Memorial Park is being designed as far more than just a cemetery. The plans show a major transformation into a modern memorial estate with luxury-style gated entrances, landscaped gardens, a full crematorium, a large contemporary chapel complex and even a restaurant and bar overlooking water features and green spaces. Nyaradzo said it will create a peaceful, dignified environment where families can gather, remember loved ones and spend time together, rather than simply visiting a traditional burial ground. The architectural designs show that Nyaradzo wants to introduce a completely new standard for memorial parks in Zimbabwe, combining remembrance, hospitality, ceremony and modern infrastructure in one integrated space. The development also includes the construction of new paved internal roads, landscaped driveways, modern parking areas, pedestrian walkways and controlled access infrastructure designed to improve accessibility and the overall visitor experience, alongside water features and carefully planned green spaces aimed at creating a peaceful and organised memorial environment. It gives me great pleasure to see Zimbabweans building companies from scratch, which is exactly what Philip Mataranyika did, turning Nyaradzo into an international company operating across different countries. More often than not, we do not celebrate each other enough, yet every Zimbabwean should be proud to see companies like Nyaradzo achieving things like this. Congratulations to the Nyaradzo Group, and I wish you even more success in the future. Mataranyika has shown that black businessmen can create generational businesses capable of outliving their founders, something Zimbabwe desperately needs if it is to become a true economic success story. Building institutions that survive beyond individuals is how strong economies are created. Well done, Nyathi.

THE WORLD CUP IN NORTH AMERICA: A TICKING TIME BOMB With all the events that have been happening in North America, if it was any other continent, FIFA would have relocated the tournament But they can't do that for obvious reasons, the mighty US controls FIFA, just as it controls almost every organisation on this earth But here are the facts that make it dangerous for the World Cup to be held in North America looking at the host countries; United States - the political atmosphere has been tense, both internally and externally > the issue of ICE has been a big internal issue resulting in clashes between the government and it's citizens > the government has been anti immigrants, even banning certain countries from VISA programs to the US > add on the gun violence that has become a staple in American culture, whereby someone just shows up with a gun in a populated area and just starts shooting at people > the threat of terror cells trying to make a name > the impending war between America and Iran Mexico - the clash between the government and the narco militias > the cartels pretty much run Mexico, and they do as they please, they have been responsible for many tourist kidnappings > the assassination of one El Mencho, leader of CJNG has resulted in violence, roads blocked, airports almost invaded > the drug wars amongst the cartels themselves makes it even more dangerous Canada - economically they have been struggling, especially now that they're no longer in good books with the US > do they have the financial capacity to hold such an event, providing accomodation and security? We ask these questions because questions have been asked about previous host countries with less issues than these When it was time for Africa, they told us about South Africa's high crime rate When it was Russia's time, they told us about Putin being a dictator When it was the Middle East's time, they told us about women and gay rights The World Cup 2026

🔸Good day @ProfJNMoyo, If you take up this offer then makatopusa zvekudaro. Mumwe wenyu akanzi dzoka, nhasi aripi? This time, Mugabe nekamudhudhudhu kaye hazvipo. sir_wicknell.@wicknellchivayo

THE PROFESSOR HAS SPOKEN…….👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Nothing could be further from the truth, @ProfJNMoyo. The proposed Constitutional Amendments, which include the extension of PRESIDENTIAL and parliamentary term limits, are NOTHING NEW in the history of Zimbabwe and must be understood within our Constitutional evolution and the continuous development of our POLITICAL and democratic space. In fact, what has been proposed is a democratic STANDARD across much of Southern Africa and globally, including jurisdictions such as South Africa, Botswana and even the United Kingdom, where the Prime Minister is elected from among parliamentarians chosen by the electorate. Those making noise or DESPERATELY attempting to scandalize the wisdom in this Constitutional Amendment are either genuinely IGNORANT of our political history or unfamiliar with the constitutional structures through which leadership is elected in the MAJORITY of democratic states worldwide. Like any other SOVEREIGN STATE, Zimbabwe is perfectly ENTITLED to refine its political and governance architecture within the bounds of constitutionalism and as the RULING PARTY deems most appropriate in the interest of the MASSES. I must acknowledge the importance of OPINION LEADERS such as yourself, Professor. You have consistently demonstrated beyond doubt over the years that you are an EXPERIENCED STRATEGIST whose contributions to political matters is WELL INFORMED. You have been one of the architects of some of the most developmental policies that continue to empower our people to this very day !! Perhaps it is time to COME BACK HOME, because home is BEST. Our Revolutionary mass party, ZANU PF, embraces the principle of being a friend to all and an ENEMY TO NONE. Should you decide to return, I would PERSONALLY come and pick you from the airport in my 2026 Rolls-Royce and chauffeur you home, safely then the next morning you make your way to see Victor and you collect a brand new car of your choice. Your learned mind and unmatched intellectual capacity as a political strategist remain second to none !

You support the “there is no constitution to defend” mantra, so how are you out here claiming the constitutional amendment is designed to block Chamisa? It makes more sense to be a champion of principle than a mere sycophant, because now you don’t make any sense!
Councillor Denford Ngadziore@DenfordNgadzio1

The main reason for the proposed constitutional changes are designed to block Nelson Chamisa from the ballot. ZANU-PF’s current & other possible Presidential candidates are too weak to win a genuinely free and fair election. #SaveZimbabwe

Are you saying former CCC leaders must not defend the constitution which is just but the only deliverable the political class of 1999 has. It is their generational legacy and have every right to defend it. This 2013 constitution brought far more reforms which were a result of these leaders generational fight for a new constitution under the banner of the National Constitutional Assembly (and it’s various stakeholders), and the Movement for Democratic Change. They also launched their initiatives to defend the constitution way before @nelsonchamisa’s return to the dance floor so I please explain to me why their choices to defend the constitution are such an issue with you. Nelson Chamisa was on sabbatical, and they rose to the occasion to defend the constitution in his absence, how then is it a problem to you, to Nelson’s return to the dance floor, or to anyone? On your points A, B, C, and D we all were told that the Strategic Ambiguity will deal with all this. Strategic Ambiguity was supposed to deal with your points A, B, C , D and they were acting in accordance with the visionary Nelson Chamisa’s vision so to blame anyone for not doing anything on your A, B, C and D points is nothing but an unfortunate indictment on Nelson Chamisa, in his capacity as the leader of the CCC during this period. You also wrote very long and numerous articles full of conspiracy theories about SADC’s intervention and fresh elections - which never happened but helped to demobilise people from taking initiative like we did on 1 August 2018. These leaders who are defending the constitution started advocating for it way before Chiwenga was commander of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, the masses of Zimbabwe contributed to the 2023 constitution way before Chiwenga’s presidential ambitions were apparent to most of us, and Zimbabwe as led by some of these leaders now defending the constitution campaigned for and against but all adopted the 2013 constitution after an overwhelming +/- 95% 3,079,966 votes on 16 March 2013 - this was way before Chiwenga’s presidential led the coup against Mugabe in 2017. So you to today tell us that defending a whole generational effort and gain for constitutional reform “is a suspiciously too convenient pro-Chiwenga outcome!”; can we in the same spirit then interpret STRATEGIC AMBIGUITY was “suspiciously too convenient pro-‘Mnangagwa’ outcome” because it had a Mnangagwa outcome? … and when Mnangagwa came he brought along Chiwenga in this 2023 strategically ambiguous outcome? Can we say the decision not to defend the constitution “is a suspiciously too convenient pro-‘Mnangagwa’ outcome!” since the 2030 agenda extends Mnangagwa’s term of office? And when Agenda 2030 succeeds Mnangagwa will extend his term of office together with Chiwenga’s just like how the Mnangagwa outcome of 2023 also brought along Chiwenga. And the success of Agenda 2030 will not in any way guarantee that Chiwenga will not succeed Mnangagwa - but it more than guarantees that when Chiwenga finally takes over from Mnangagwa after 2030 - he will have a limitless term as the constitution’s presidential term limit would have been been effectively removed.
Brighton Mutebuka@BMutebuka

There is something jarring about watching ex-CCC leaders coming out into the open & showing urgency about "defending the Constitution," when they were utterly mum in the immediate aftermath of the sham election, opting to get sworn into Parliament by the same illegitimate regime - for the very purpose of furthering the same Agenda 2030 that they are now claiming to be fighting with every morsel in their bones! a. They saw FAZ getting deployed, gerrymandering of electoral boundaries, ballots not being delivered & many getting disenfranchised - never raised a finger. b. SEOM Final Report concluding there had been a sham election meaning an illegitimate gvt - never raised a finger - they actually made a beeline to be sworn as MPs by the same regime. c. Even then, they saw their colleagues repeatedly getting recalled by Tshabangu, in clear violation of the Constitution, they never raised a finger. d. They saw @nelsonchamisa getting humiliated by Mudenda & the regime's courts & sham by-elections taking place but they never raised a finger! But now - they claim there is now urgency to do so, that's it's existential & that they don't care who governs Zimbabwe afterwards & are happy to be at odds with their erstwhile leader??? This is a suspiciously too convenient pro-Chiwenga outcome!
