@CorpseKings @Marshal_Victory I don’t like most.
Shadowrun works for me. I have a soft spot for it

@CollinRugg This sums up the media so perfectly it should be framed and mounted.
English

JUST IN: CNN’s Wolf Blitzer says he was just feet away from the White House Correspondents dinner shooter, says he was thrown to the ground by a police officer.
“It was a very, very serious weapon, he starts shooting.”
“I happened to been a few feet away from him as he was shooting. And of course, the first thing that went through my mind, is he trying to shoot me?”
English

@LadyDemosthenes I don’t. Well… they consider me asthmatic now, but I’m not. I’m fine. I can hold my breath for over 2 minutes still. I have an inhaler but I don’t use it. Honestly I feel fine finally.
English

@ThebanMonk I have asthma so diminished lung capacity is scary for me.
English

Don’t lie, how old are you turning in 2026?
Turned (March birthday) 44!

Don’t lie, how old are you turning in 2026? 48, darlings.
English

@LadyDemosthenes Getting it hurts. Afterwards it’s just diminished lung function. S’okay. I played tuba in marching band. My lungs were pretty good before this. They’re still not bad. Just not as good as they were.
English

@ThebanMonk 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 hopefully you will feel more like yourself soon. Lung scarring sounds painful.
English

@LadyDemosthenes On the mend. Almost there I hope.
Well… lung scarring is permanent and the nodules will likely take 6 months to go away. But otherwise I think I’m okay. Might finally shave the beard off after… 6 months. Face is almost back to normal. What a stupid reaction.
English

@LadyDemosthenes Thanks!
Story behind that: got super sick (flu, RSV, pneumonia, parosmia) that cratered my health and three everything off. Couldn’t eat. Lung scarring and large nodules in the lungs. My complexion became hideous. The beard hid the rashes and welts on my face.

@Blakes7Diary Frontios might be my favorite Davison. It’s a near perfect episode in so many ways.
English

Just watched Frontios on Blu-ray and absolutely loved it. For some reason, it had slipped way down in my estimations over the years, but now I think it’s bloody marvellous (again).
Davison is so great - one of my favourite Doctors, joint second with Pertwee - and it’s especially satisfying seeing him written as a wise old man ‘trapped’ in a young man’s body. Bidmead really understood the fifth Doctor and his writing feels all the more special now.
And the new effects added for the Blu-ray really lift the story. :)

@MikeBales She needs someone to walk on so her feet don’t touch the ground

@LawDogStrikes The problem w/ the system was stone allocation was based on stamina (or lesser on intelligence on exception) for ALL actions. It meant Ben Grimm could do more than Cyclops. Not just more fighting, but computers or anything. It’s not even hard to fix: different attribute stones.

Marvel Universe Roleplaying Game aka Marvel Stones aka the 3rd (of 5) Marvel RPGs aka The Worst Marvel RPG
Diceless. That right there makes me take pause. You use “stones” to represent actions that are resourced out. There is no random resolution. It became one big “attack with everything” each round.
Given it was following the Outstanding 1st RPG (FASERIP) and the Very Good 2nd RPG (SAGA the card system). This was a major disappointment and probably the least remembered system. Did anybody out there actually get a campaign off the ground?

English

@WorldofWeirth @crescendogames9 That was kind of you…
A shame you don’t have your notes.
My bedroom flooded my senior year of high school and I lost all my rpg notebooks to that point. What a tragic loss.
English

@ThebanMonk @crescendogames9 Sadly I don't have much in the way of notes from the old days. In 94 when I moved away, I left most of my D&D campaign notes with the guy who was taking over as DM.
English

@WorldofWeirth @crescendogames9 I’ve got an enormous folder from those college days, also 30 years ago.
Now i want to run this again. O
English

@ThebanMonk @crescendogames9 Now I feel like I should go down and get my book out, and see if there's any notes from that game
