@SCP_Hughes Good news for London. Meanwhile, travel across the whole of the North of England is crippled by spasmodic, delayed and bowdlerised electrification plans and refusal to build extra platforms at Manchester Piccadilly to allow even the current capacity of the network to be used.

Paddington, King's Cross, St Pancras and London Bridge have been upgraded to universal acclaim. Euston will soon be replaced, and major work is rumoured at Victoria. Marylebone and Blackfriars are already excellent stations. Is London in sight of a complete set of great termini?

Remarkably ambitious scheme for Waterloo Station. Waterloo is a vital piece of infrastructure and has some superb Edwardian architecture, but its surroundings are dismal and wayfinding is extraordinarily counterintuitive. Successful remodelling could be a huge improvement.
