@Cuddles3312 I was wondering the same, but given the "replace the whole chipset & ram" approach, I bet it would be hardly have any bottleneck compared to other boards with the same chip/ram/cpu... if I come across a CPU module though, I'll ping you.

@ThisOldTech2 Most likely unattainable these days but would be neat to compare it to an AM2 native board to see if it was even worth it back in the day

@bozos_playhouse Yup, many early controllers had a 'BIOS' that you basically could only talk to by poking a specific memory address... insane how far we've come

@ThisOldTech2 I've low "level formatted" literally thousands of these drives back in the late 80's, you can actually go into old bios with debug and call address "g=C800:5" to get into the formatting utilities and all that is required is a DOS boot disk with debug.😉

@ScouseMarkie Did cold/warm weather make a mechanical difference or was it just to prevent bad sectors and manually defrag

@ThisOldTech2 i remember having to low-level format and rebuild twice a year as the colder/warmer weather hit (amstrad pc1640 with hard card )

@ScouseMarkie Right? Imagine a time where your computer's hard drive had to be oiled on a scheduled basis... seems primitive now
