@WSJ It makes sense to use a small vehicle to get around town. The world makes more sense when you slow down.
English

Golf carts are becoming street legal in one community after another as families ditch their minivans and SUVs when they want to run a quick errand or ramble around town. But with the boom has come a backlash.

To @NRKno and their so called journalism...
Propaganda & co@propandco
@emilykschrader Israelis are in Amsterdam singing racist songs of extermination that include lyrics like, “let the IDF win to Fuck the Arabs” and “there are no schools in Gaza because there are no children left”. In response, they’re getting beat up. Now they’re crying about it. Cry more.

@razorsharprep @Alonso_GD All national identities are in some way “constructed”.
English

@Alonso_GD No sir. Palestinians are a "constructed identity" even according to Dr. Rashid Khalidi the foremost historian on the subject of Palestine. That doesn't mean I agree that they have to "go back" or that they don't exist, but they were never a distinct people before the modern era.
English

Many accounts have began to erase Palestinian history these past few days. One common take is the equation of Arabization with modern settler colonialism, as if Palestinians were the result of waves of population transfer from the Hejaz, replacing local communities. This is not only wrong, it is also dehumanising 🧵

Any Arab Muslim living outside of this area is a COLONIZER. It’s that simple.

@eivindtraedal Har ikke Oslo kommune representanter i styrene, som kan bringe beskjed om mulige styreendringer motsatt vei?
Eller kan man (kommunen) ikke rett og slett velge nye styrer?

In a statement, the Israeli military attempted to justify its recent attack on a school sheltering thousands of displaced people, citing that some journalists injured in the attack were allegedly linked to Hamas’s propaganda arm rather than being targeted directly. However, the reality is that the attack killed four well-known journalists known for their professional reporting, none of whom had any military affiliations as the army claims.

@Paleo_Goat @KingSirdave @afalkhatib All armed factions in Palestine with the exception of the PA is united in the current fight against Israel. None of them will commit to peace with Israel as long as that means committing to no state, no representation, no self determination and Israeli domination.
English

@KingSirdave @afalkhatib There are many armed factions in Gaza. Hamas is(was?) just the biggest.
That aside, I’m sure the IDF would be willing to support a rival to Hamas who committed to peace with Israel.
English

The Islamist terror “resistance” movement known as Hamas continues to implement jungle-style law enforcement in the parts of Gaza that it controls. This entails public executions, shooting people in the knees, severe beatings, and violence to deter and scare Palestinians and remind them who’s still in charge. What is a puzzling mystery is that the Israeli military regularly conducts airstrikes and attacks in which hundreds of civilians are killed and maimed without understanding what’s being targeted. Meanwhile, Hamas’s thugs roam the streets with their weapons in plain and complete view of Israeli drones and surveillance and they’re somehow allowed to proceed unchallenged and unhindered.

In Detroit, Vice President Kamala Harris was asked if she could lose due to the anger felt by Arabs, Muslims, and supporters of the Palestinian cause over civilian deaths in Gaza.
As part of her response, Harris said, “The first, most tragic story is October 7.”
That line, in particular, has further angered supporters of the Palestinian cause.

@alfie77806057 @HalfAtlanta @CubaMINREX @NNOCuba No they can’t because anyone they trade with will be secondary sanctioned by the US and prevented from doing business in the US. F.ex a cargo ship delivering cargo to Cuba will barred from US ports.
English

@HalfAtlanta @CubaMINREX @NNOCuba There's not a blockade, Cuba can trade with whoever they want but the USA because the government doesn't allow USA companies to trade certain items but other are allowed.
It is easy to understand, that's not a blockade.

All who bear witness to Israeli atrocities in Gaza are attacked with a tsunami of pro-Israeli lies.
The NYT had to document, again, that health workers could verify that Israeli snipers were assassinating Palestinian children (see next tweet for link to full article)

@littlefairworld @Dosadian @freedomrideblog @ThuliMadonsela3 @Tarek_Bae Oxygen tanks, gas tanks, ammunition? Who knows. But a hospital would not lose its protected status if militants were storing some ammunition there while the hospital also functions as a hospital and sanctuary for displaced persons. Maybe if they were storing nukes there …
English

@Dosadian @freedomrideblog @ThuliMadonsela3 @Tarek_Bae Listen to the secondary explosions on the video. What blew up if nothing was there?
English

German Foreign Minister Baerbock defends Israel's killings of Palestinian civilians. "Civilian places" lose "their protected status" because "terrorists abuse that", she claims. This is of course nonsense under international law. The International Criminal Court accuses Israel of war crimes and crimes against humanity. But Baerbock wants to justify the crimes. "That's what Germany stands for", she claims. What a disgrace.
English

@barthelmes @garydunion @ThuliMadonsela3 @Tarek_Bae A hospital does in fact not lose its protected status when it treats militants or because militants exist in the hospitals vicinity.
English

For the legality it is relevant that proportionality is kept not that a place is uninhabited. The terrible pictures we all saw - until now they show a militant was the person burning and altogether 5 adults died. I’m not defending it. I think it was a mistake that they dropped a bomb so close to tents. But under legal issues it’s much less clear.
