HR is an important position for businesses all around the world. Different countries, with different cultures, laws, and situations will do things differently but the importance of the position still remains. @huskymgmt #SCSU #MGMT352Ch15 #HRglobal #2020fall

Human Resources is an essential position for all companies all around the world. Although there are many things that can alter how the company does HR (like the factors in the photo) it is still an important position. #HRglobal #MGMT352Ch15 @huskymgmt

@tscholtes2 @huskymgmt The benefits mentioned in this article about unions is what makes the active pursuit by politicians to dismantle them so scary. Without union work standards, there no telling how work conditions could worsen in a country that has lax government labor laws. @huskymgmt #HRUnion

@CartyPaytin @huskymgmt I would argue that unions becoming less common would be a negative direction for our country. Without government intervention and/or unions, there would be nothing standing in the way of companies trying to exploit workers for extra profit. #HRUnion @Huskymgmt #MGMT352Ch15

Unions are slowly becoming less common in today’s world, except for government positions where the numbers have stayed the same. I think that our country is moving in a positive direction, and eventually unions will be rare. #HRunion #MGMT352Ch15 @huskymgmt

Something to look at is the unionization rates between the US and other developed countries. Sweden has over 80% unionization and is one of the best countries for working conditions. The question is, is this from unions or strict gov labor laws? #HRglobal @huskymgmt #MGMT352Ch15

I currently work as a HR/Payroll Specialist and for employees it is all about the pay. Employees are always comparing their compensation with others and finding creative ways in enforcing #HRpayfairness. Communication is key to resolve hostility. #MGMTCh12 @huskymgmt

Employers need to be transparent about how employees are being paid and way. If employees perceive that they aren't being paid fairly, it will result in lower job satisfaction and lower job commitment. #hrpayfairness #mgmt352ch12 #fall2020 #scsu @huskymgmt

@david_husnik @huskymgmt Very true, if it's done incorrectly employees may feel like their time spent at work isn't worth the amount they are getting paid. This could result in them quitting or not working as hard as they would if they believed the pay was fair #MGMG352Ch12 @huskymgmt #fall2020 #HRpay

A good way to have happy and loyal employees, is to make sure they are happy with what they are being paid for their work. If a worker's pay is less than what they believe is fair, their job performance may even be affected. #HRpay #MGMT352Ch12 @huskymgmt #SCSU #2020fall

@kyleharthan1 That diagram is very good showing the performance management process. It lays out the process in a way that is easy to follow and easy to analyze. Although all the steps are important, I agree that Step 3 is most important #HRperformance #MGMT352Ch10 #2020fall @huskymgmt

To manage employee performance, it's important that HR provides employees with feedback. If the employee is invested in their work, they will use the feedback to make changes and hopefully improve their performance. #HRperformance #MGMT352ch10 #scsumgmt352 #2020fall @huskymgmt

@kthoreso2 I like this chart, it does a good job of laying out how HR professionals plan and perform their training programs. I'm sure it takes a good amount of trial and error before they get a design that really works well for them @HRtraining #MGMT352Ch7 @huskymgmt #fall2020

@JordanJames72 @huskymgmt I totally agree. When people take a job they don't like just to pay the bills, it probably makes the training process a little more difficult. Their minds won't be fully invested in the training if they don't have the desire to be there or learn the job #hrtraining @huskymgmt

#hrtraining #mgmt352ch7 @huskymgmt workers learn when they have strong desire to learn, this is universal and can be applied to work, school, and life. It's a healthy mindset that benefits the individual and organization

#HRtraining #MGMT352Ch7 Out of all the different training methods used for new employees, the most effective depends on the person and the job. I think for many positions, on-the-job training would be the most effective, but classroom instruction would be easiest @huskymgmt

This debate showed that contingent work is an issue with both pros and cons. I think when it comes down to it, temp work is needed depending on the job and company. Some jobs just make more sense to be done by a temporary worker. #tempworker #mgmt352debate #2020fall @huskymgmt
