What is a movie you watched once that was so disturbing or emotionally draining that you can never watch it again?

@vashikoo Yeah I get that, just seems like they misrepresent the numbers to make it sound like they shot a stupid amount of film even though they know all to well they cant use the majority of it.

@ThomasDougherty Most productions never reveal how much footage actually reaches the edit bay. The 237 hours in the clip isn’t what was edited. It’s the total 65mm film negative exposed during production.

@vashikoo Still seems like WAY too much. Would that be counting takes with mistakes, and lots of filmed footage they knew wouldn't be used? Of the 237hrs how much would have been unusable?

@PopBase If it's the quality of the voice alone it's debatable. But best performer is easily Mercury.

@soonrightaway What. Listen to the vocal only audio, it shows that Mercury was a vastly better vocalist than Bowie (note I say vocalist, not song writer, Bowie easily takes that one).

i think of Under Pressure, where i always thought Bowie made Mercury sound ridiculous on his own song

it’s annoying how overrated Freddie Mercury is because he objectively has a great voice

@HollywoodYeste1 @TheAcademy PF was of a more staged presentation. Rain was about his feelings despite the inclement atmosphere surrounding him. He had a message as well as a beautiful dance performance. His feelings and the dance were intermeshed.

@realJackEason Plus include a side story about Cobain being too wacked out trying to produce Houdini, and David Yow being a better frontman than Albini and Cobain combined. (Not a dig at Albini, Yow was just on another level)

@DannyManus As someone who was too young when the original came out...I do not understand the interest in this franchise. At all. And Jared Leto's involvement gives it the kiss of death.

i maintain that the 2022 TCM that everyone seemed to hate was closer in spirit to hooper's original than most other entries...lean, mean, and clearly Up To Here w/ a certain type of 21st century american. its failure will have terrible repercussions for the series as a whole...
