In 1816, summer never arrived. Snow fell on New England. Frost came back in July, then again in August. Farmers watched their corn die three times in one summer. Nobody knew why. Some blamed sunspots, which were large enough to see with the naked eye that year. Preachers blamed sin. Some New Englanders blamed Benjamin Franklin's lightning rods for draining heat from the sky. The failure was everywhere. Ireland lost its oats and potatoes, and a typhus epidemic followed. Grain riots broke out across France. In China's Yunnan province, the famine ran for years. Historians call 1816 the last great subsistence crisis of the Western world. The cause was a mountain almost nobody in Europe or America had heard of. Tambora, in Indonesia, had exploded in April 1815, the largest eruption in recorded history. It put enough sulfur into the stratosphere to dim the sun across the planet. The people who starved that summer were living inside the aftermath of a blast ten thousand miles away, fourteen months earlier. They never found out. The link to Tambora wasn't made until about a century later, when everyone who lived through that summer was dead. In Ashland, New Hampshire, there's a gravestone for Reuben Whitten. His descendants raised it in 1911. It commemorates a harvest: in the cold season of 1816, he grew forty bushels of wheat on a sheltered hillside and kept his neighbours from starving. A wheat crop was carved in stone. That's what surviving 1816 meant.

Reminder that not far from Gobekli Tepe, at the site of Nevali Cori, which is now flooded because the Turkish government constructed the attaturk dam, there was an enclosure built by the Tas Tepeler people where every t pillar had its hands meeting around its navel. This reconstruction is/was on display in Berlin, Germany. Some of the pillars even have eyes. Perhaps they all did. I get a weird vision when I look at this, of people standing in front of these pillars, pillars towering behind them, one person per pillar, their hands in the same position, performing some forgotten ritual, casting some forgotten magic.

A True story….. A former friend introduced me to a private group and put me in contact with one of its members. Nothing was straightforward. Everything was a scavenger hunt. There were books to read, obscure references to decode, and constant little tests designed to see whether I’d follow directions. The group was deeply invested in occult and esoteric traditions. Whether they truly believed any of it or used it as a filter, I still don’t know. One of the final hurdles before they considered me “worthy” was the strangest thing I’ve ever been asked to do. At the time, I’d moved back to Illinois to buy my mother and grandfather’s house so I could help care for them. My mother had received a heart transplant, my grandfather was elderly, and both were deeply religious. One of my final tasks was to gather a specific list of items: candles, incense, symbols, and written passages. Then I had to arrange everything exactly as instructed and record myself performing what they called a ritual. It involved reciting esoteric phrases, facing specific directions, following a rigid sequence of steps, and getting every detail right. The entire thing had to be filmed so they could verify I’d done it correctly. The whole time I kept thinking, If my mom or grandpa walked through that door right now, they’re going to think I’ve completely lost my mind. I can still picture them walking in while I’m surrounded by candles and incense, reading from an occult script into a camera. It was one of the most awkward and absurd moments of my life. I probably should have walked away then, but curiosity got the better of me. I finished the ritual, sent them the video, and not long afterward received what they called my initiate’s key. Even writing that sounds ridiculous. The funny part is that almost nobody gets invited into that circle. The even funnier part is that after seeing enough behind the curtain, I walked away. I realized that despite all the rituals and symbolism, very few people there could actually do the things they claimed. Much of it felt like people playing a role rather than developing genuine understanding or ability. I wasn’t interested in becoming a prop for people playing secret society and cosplay as magicians. That experience changed the direction of my life. I walked in thinking magic was about rituals. I walked out believing the real “magic” was understanding consciousness. That experience drove me to seriously explore clairvoyance, telepathy, lucid dreaming, altered states, and consciousness itself. Part of the reason I was invited into those inner circles was that I’d already developed experience across multiple areas of consciousness and could both demonstrate and discuss them. From there, I committed myself fully. For roughly three years I meditated for hours nearly every day, pursuing direct experience instead of belief. Everything I discuss about consciousness comes from practices I’ve done, states I’ve experienced, or abilities I’ve personally developed. That path explains why I ended up in rooms most people never see and why I have sources others don’t. The stories that came after are even stranger. Those are for another day, and maybe one day, a book. #TrueStory

Is Irish Ogham a form of runic writing or vice versa ,said to of been brought by Ogma of the Tuatha Dé Danann from the 'North'. Runic -Ogham a type of feather like script based on trees .

Egypt's Fayoum antiquities directorate confirmed new fieldwork at Hawara in May 2026, and the ground opened holds an argument over what Petrie was standing on. Ancient writers ranked the labyrinth above the pyramids, and the British archaeologist Flinders Petrie, clearing half an acre there in 1888, read the great stone bed as the foundation of a building already carted away. 🔹75 profiles were run 🔹The casing stone is long gone 🔹Herodotus counted 12 roofed courts 🔹A canal was cut through it in the 1830s 🔹The 2008 scan covered only a fraction of the field The survey read how easily ground conducts a radio signal, drawing square and elongated shapes between 10 and 39 feet down, along a field the cult complex once filled for about 984 feet. Louis De Cordier, the Belgian artist who coordinated that survey, reads Petrie's stone instead as the top of something still standing below, a claim the published paper does not make. The paper said nothing official had been dug there since 1911, and that just changed. If those trenches reach the stone, what would actually prove a roof rather than a floor?

@Megalithic12000 Another great post. From what I understand, the inner maze box of Kircher’s illustration was meant to represent a lower subterranean level. The outer ones were the ground level internal level, and then the external court yard. Could be totally wrong.

We pay 3 times for it. - Front loaded cost that was added back in the day by the bottle makers, when pay per ton introduced. - Green bin subscription fee that’s meant to cover it. - Return. Just look at who all these funds roll up to. Who lobbied for this system originally. And who has the monopoly on advising gov about a things recycling. One small “club” ..or should that be family.

€66.7 MILLION of your money. You paid it at the till on bottles and cans. You never got it back. Now the private operator Re-turn is sitting on it and says it's "not required" to tell you where it goes or what the bosses are paid. Not good enough. I won't let it drop.

I don't care what any armchair skeptic says. If you have never been into this room at Karnak Temple, Egypt, and looked at this statue, you don't know. It is energetic. It is haunted. I have never felt the way I did in this room, looking at this statue.
