The official report does not directly quote or claim 300 BCE. If we follow this logic, we would have to add a large timeline to many temples..... 2/n

Look at how Lemurian fakery works. They show a granite Vel and claim it's a 300 BCE Murugan temple just because 300 BCE bricks were found at the base. Reality: The granite temple and granite Vel were built by the Pallavas (~6th–8th century CE), not the Sangam era. 1/n

If you give merit for kannada to exist along side tamil in 600BCE while it's first proto-form Inscription and grammer book happened in 400CE and 1200CE respectively, you gotta give merit for tamil to predate Rig veda its first grammar book in 300BCE n oldest Inscriptn in 580BCE.
Lalitāditya@LalitAditya1212

Telugu and Kannada existed when Tamil existed, just that they weren't written down. Of course Tamil is the oldest attested Dravidian language, though. But it is definitely not the "mother of all SI languages". Tulu is said to preserve the oldest festures of proto-Dravidian. @grok correct?

These Hindutva groups keep twisting Tamil history to fit their narrative, blaming Tamil communities in the name of religion and spreading hatred and division among Tamils. The history being discussed here is not the complete truth. So, was Veerapandiyan the one who saved Madurai? No. The real history is this: Maravarman Kulasekara Pandiyan had two sons—Sundara Pandiyan and Veerapandiyan. Sundara Pandiyan was the eldest and the legitimate heir to the throne, while Veerapandiyan was the younger son born to his second wife. According to the traditional customs of kingship, Sundara Pandiyan was supposed to become the next king. Yet, Kulasekara Pandiyan crowned his younger son, Veerapandiyan, as his successor because he was his favourite child. This was a betrayal of Sundara Pandiyan's rightful claim, and the glorious Pandiyan Kingdom was divided due to the enmity between the two brothers. War broke out between the two factions. Sundara Pandiyan then sought the help of the Delhi Sultanate under Alauddin Khalji. The Muslim army led by Malik Kafur joined forces with Sundara Pandiyan's army to capture Madurai, the capital of the Pandiyan dynasty. Sundara Pandiyan won. It was during this war that the Tamil Muslim Rowthers joined his forces—not in support of the Delhi Sultanate, but in support of the legitimate heir to the throne according to the accepted customs of succession. The war was won, but the Delhi Sultanate's army did not leave Tamil Nadu. The immense wealth they encountered made them abandon their agreement, and they began looting temples and homes across the land. Sundara Pandiyan, betrayed by the Delhi Sultanate, now had the responsibility of protecting his people from the invading army. This is where the real hero emerges—Kulasekara Vikrama Pandiyan. He was the younger brother of Maravarman Kulasekara Pandiyan and the paternal uncle of both Sundara Pandiyan and Veerapandiyan. He came to the rescue of the Pandiyan dynasty when it needed him most. Vikrama Pandiyan sought the support of the Chera Kingdom and received the aid of Ravivarman Kulasekhara, the Venatu Chera king. The Chera army marched in support of their Pandiyan kin. The Tamil Muslim Rowthers, who had earlier fought under Sundara Pandiyan, now joined the united Chera–Pandiyan forces in defence of Tamil Nadu. The combined army was led by Vikrama Pandiyan. Yes, Malik Kafur and the Delhi Sultanate's army were defeated and forced to flee for their lives. The valiant Tamil armies, with the cry of "Vetri Vel! Veera Vel!", saved Tamil Nadu from the Delhi Sultanate's invasion—but not without sacrifice. Vikrama Pandiyan laid down his life in battle. He is remembered to this day as one of the saviours of the Tamil people. The later and more permanent Islamic rule in Madurai came much later, and according to this historical account, it was the political developments during the Madurai Nayak period that enabled its return—not the Tamil Muslim communities who fought alongside the Tamils in defence of their homeland. So stop dividing Tamil communities in the name of religion. Stop using distorted history to create hatred among Tamils. Tamil history belongs to all Tamils. - Paari saalan

“Keep religion at home under lock and key” sounds like a noble idea. It is an attractive utopian thought, but fails miserably in practice. Consider Malik Kafur’s invasion of Tamilakam. Veera Pandya fought valiantly to resist the invasion. Among those who marched with the Pandya army, there were broadly two kinds of people: those who kept religion at home, and those whose took the religious identity along with them. During the campaign, the second group found that the invading army shared their religious identity. They chose to switch sides. The consequences were severe, and Veera Pandya suffered a major defeat. History reminds us that ideals must also withstand the test of human behaviour. Ignoring it will cost us big time.

@GSV1980 I wonder where you were when KL played at 5 and was scoring a good amount of runs. One Knock doesn't define either Washington or KL Rahul . Sundar is a misfit in ODIs and KL should play at 5 , after all he also needs some balls to settle

I wonder how the lovely trolls of Washington Sundar and Prasidh Krishna would feel today. Or even Gill playing all the Gujarat Titans together. That's why I say, Coach, skipper and Selectors know a bit more cricket than tweaking people stats and hurling abuses. Do remember it's Team India.

Tamil has many words that dervies from the monosyllabic rootword கு - to gather All to do with "being together".

@maa_bhaishiiH A text doesn't need to say that for that to be a possibility. Murugan could well have been a Kula Devta of the Kurinji land. In fact, குலம்/ குடி is a Tamil/ Dravidian rootword that Sanskrit borrows. So Ancestor Worsbip is a very early Dravidian belief.

Tamils should Dismiss this BS. Nayaks built one gopuram and 1 inner small entrances. But look at the claim! 90%? What rubbish?! You would see twin Royal fish symbols in two places inside., tonnes of Sundara Pandiyan Inscriptions. No shame @Telugu_Chron?
Telugu Chronicles ☀️@Telugu_Chron

Madurai Nayaks, a #Telugu Nayaka dynasty, ruled most of present-day Tamil Nadu from their capital at Madurai for over 200 years. Nearly 80–90% of the magnificent #MeenakshiTemple complex seen today was built & expanded under their rule & patronage in the 16th–17th centuries.🛕
