Caesars Palace new LED display from the air. Standing at 210 feet tall and over 18,000 square feet of area, this digital tower is massive. There is also a 20 foot diameter digital medallion up top that works with the content displayed below.

@Vasilio @9to5mac They do currently beat the Amazon price when it comes to the student discount. It hasn’t been around long enough for it to be $100-200 cheaper on Amazon. Usually takes several months & actual stock, which is an issue currently

@9to5mac A lot of stores are way cheaper than Apple student discount - never has been a really good deal. IMO, Apple could at least beat Best Buy and Amazon.

If taxes were fair: You earn $100,000 per year and pay $30,000 in tax. Your neighbor earns $1,000,000 and pays $300,000 in tax. Your neighbor is paying 10X more than you. If taxes were fair, you should both pay $30,000, since you both receive the same government services.

@egregious_angst @MacRumors Most are already in the ecosystem with an iPhone. They probably just can’t afford a MacBook, whereas an iPhone is essential. As for services, someone who is buying the neo probably isn’t paying monthly for cloud storage & stuff..

The MacBook Neo is reportedly selling WAY beyond Apple’s expectations… but there’s a problem Apple is now planning to make around 10M units, nearly double the original target. What makes this interesting is that the first batch reportedly used leftover/binned A18 Pro chips which were unfit for the iPhone 16 Pro and Apple is now running out of those chips. That means Apple may need TSMC to manufacture a fresh batch of A18 Pro chips specifically for the Neo which would obviously increase costs. So either Apple absorbs the extra cost or users end up paying more. Culpan speculates the base $599 256GB model could eventually be discontinued, leaving only the $699 512GB variant. Idk how to feel about this since that could hurt the whole “entry level mac” appeal.
