$TSLA Cybercab production plans are cut following the abrupt departure of the Cybercab program head, just as I warned. Elon Musk bet the company on FSD software that cannot and will not be fully ready for at least another decade. Tesla is doomed. Beware.

There is no 2500 rule for a vehicle that passes all safety standards even if theres no steering wheel or pedal. 2500 is for vehicles looking for an exemption to be tested with covering safety standards. Cybercab will pass standards minus side mirrors and rear view mirror. Regulations won't clamp down on that.

Tesla needs to demonstrate they are capable of more unsupervised robotaxis. Until then, these cybercabs will be collecting dust. An optimistic scenario would be unsupervised FSD is possible in a much wider Geo fenced area around the same time they start manufacturing these vehicles. Likely scenario is the cybercab line will run a tad slow, Tesla Ai still working out some FSD kinks, then they slowly drip these cars into the Austin area.
