We just released Claude Code channels, which allows you to control your Claude Code session through select MCPs, starting with Telegram and Discord. Use this to message Claude Code directly from your phone.

@ThreeAcres @jasonfried @meetgranola @openclaw I am skeptical about MCPs and the claw thing. I would rather wait for the dust to settle so that we can determine which one offers real value or utility. It feels like everyone creates hype around something AI, everyone rushes, tons of flaws, and low ROI, etc. Reminds me of NFTs!

We sell Basecamp and HEY, but mostly we give away all our work for free in the form of open source software. Here are 31 distinct open source releases just over the last five years, all from the crew at 37signals: gist.github.com/jorgemanrubia/… Pay or free, we make everything for the same reason: We need it, we want it, and we think we've found a better way. And if we do, surely others do, so we do this for them, too.

Turned another process this morning into a claude skill - each time we ship POs to a certain b2b vendor they want an email with the tracking details and an email with an invoice. Now Claude can pull all of that via an invoice PDF upload and generate the two emails. ⚡

i used to spend hundreds of hours a year building tech packs for apparel production. not anymore. i trained a custom claude skill to do it for me, then had claude build a web interface so my whole team can generate them too. Booom baaaaabyyyy! ⚡

Openclaw is starting to get useful. Major Unlock was @basecamp s official cli & @meetgranola 's MCP. Now I can ask my @openclaw to create tasks after a meeting. The second unlock was connecting claude code via ssh to my raspberry pi to configure openclaw.

I left Iran when I was 13 (maybe 14). I am now 56, so this was a long time ago. After the Iran-Iraq war started, we moved from Ahwaz to Tehran. Over the next few years, I lived with my parents in four different places in Tehran: Farmanieh, Tajrish, Fatemi, and finally Shahran. Tehran—and all of Iran—has obviously changed a lot since I left over 42 years ago. But when I heard the Shahran oil depot was hit, it reminded me of our home there. I could easily see the oil depot in the mountains north of our house, only a few kilometers away. We lived in the area I marked, to the best of my recollection from the angle of the main road (and we were right on that road). I remember Saddam’s jets tried to hit it many times, missed, and would hit homes or other places instead. In fact, Saddam’s jets used to bomb from high altitude—not precision bombing—and killed a lot of civilians. One time it was so close I got thrown from one side of the stairway to the other, and a bomb intended for the oil depot hit two properties away from our high school. Luckily that building was under construction and no one lived in it, so no one died; of course, all sorts of windows and doors blew out, and there was a huge crater there. It is interesting how the other buildings didn’t collapse.

“Black rain” reportedly fell over parts of Iran after massive oil depots were targeted in airstrikes.

Very skeptical about all these stories where people work with multiple agents in parallel. I could see how some people could work on 2, maybe 3 tasks but more than that? meh.

@kurtinc I'm surprised that the impersonating isn't just "the big guys" I've had random merchants reach out to me to double check if someone impersonating me was real or not. Unfortunately this likely means that there is a lot more of this happening than I see.

Shopify's ecosystem is now mature enough to have more bad actors than any of us can stop. - Shopify app store: people clone your app. - Shopify agencies: people impersonate you. - Shopify merchants: people clone your store or use it to test stolen credit cards The people seeing the most gains from AI might be the scammers. The attack surface is so large, there's not much anyone can do about it.

Our small town took a hit from a tornado today. The hospital, senior center, hotels, and home improvement stores were all in the path. The incredible people of this town stepped up and immediately went to work.

@PrakharS96 @openclaw Locally I use ssh keys - between raspberry pis. So no passwords needed. Not sure about the best practice for remote servers, but you can sometimes do the same.

for solo business operators, as of *today*, i think your best bet for implementing AI into daily operations is currently claude cowork. by a long shot. there's some setup required to get it maximally impactful, but it has very low risk and it's infinitely more stable than 🦞. the biggest downside (lack of remote access) will almost certainly be solved in the coming weeks. side note: if you want me to audit your business operations and help you set up claude cowork so you can spend more time doing what's most impactful for your business, i'd love to spend a day with you helping get it set up and customized specifically to your business. let's chat: initialcommit.co

@austriker27 I'm on a new train - building bespoke web apps for specific use cases. I think this is a good example. You could create a simple meal library, that would have ingredients, create rotations, grocery lists etc.
