LA went up 3-0 b/c of unsustainable performances from Kennard/Smart & Houston choking away a 6 point lead (with the ball) in the final 30 seconds of G3. It’s only one game and by no means shocking LA didn’t sweep… With that said, some key take aways are: 1. JJ has to put whatever politics or reasoning aside and bench Jake LaRavia. Even if it’s just one game. Adou and nick smith or one of them needs to get those minutes to try and close it out on Wednesday. He’s been that bad. I would say more Vando minutes but he’s already getting run + his offense is so bad, Jakes just gotta sit, entirely. Maybe this is also offset IF Austin comes back Wednesday. He and takes more minutes obviously and then Vando plays less etc… whatever the case, again with Jake….just no…I’m sorry bud but that might be what wakes him up or if you “lose him” you lose him . 2. The lakers really really cannot lose game 5… if they lose game 5 (especially if Austin’s back) , all the momentum swings to Houston again. Do not underestimate a potential game 5 loss. Lakers need to treat Wednesday like a game 7. I don’t wanna hear but there’s game 6 and game 7. k KD may even be back for game 5 and good luck then winning in Houston for game 6 and game 7 anything can happen. If this goes 7 I’d pick Houston. Game 5 is critical. Period.
