@BENBALLER @JFoo09 It turns people into "reverse sand baggers" because some like myself can have a bunch of birdies but also make big numbers but it will only count as a double in the ghin. Hate the handicap system

I don’t get why GHIN won’t allow a triple bogey on some holes for me when the handicap system is supposed to be honest and accurate with indexes? I made a triple today on hole 10 but it’s inputted as a double. Rest of back 9 was clean.

@RyanWeather It’s why we’re always outside & have the best golf courses. I’d even argue Mackenzie’s work was better out here than Augusta

Big tip of the cap to Bodenhamer and the USGA. Today has been excellent, excellent U.S. Open golf.

@Daniel_Rapaport Nah, I don’t think it’s that great to be honest. 10 is a stupid hole and it seems like every hole is left to right.

Watching the amount of players under par at a U.S. Open slowly drop from 15, to 8, to now 4...it just makes me very, very happy. This is such a good watch.

@RiggsBarstool Not a fan of the course overall. It all kind of runs together for me. Every hole feels the same, and after a while the entire course looks like one big hole with very little variety.

If this “wind is gonna die down for the leaders” forecast is true the USGA needs to step in here and take matters into their own hands. Instead of watering the greens at 2pm, go out there and light them on fire and let’s see some chaos the rest of the way home

@GabbyHerzig Every time a US Open has been there, "they've lost the course" and made holes literally unplayable.

The pin on 10 is absolutely diabolical. Downwind is persistent. Green looks like it’s really firming up. I’ve been standing here for 4-5 groups and I’d guess that about half of the players have gone over the back of the green, only to face an even scarier chip coming back.

@Top100Rick Cut them down? It’s not really a links course according to a number of PGA Tour players so why must it look like one, and not a good one at that.

Would you rather be watching this US Open on the tree lined Shinnecock Hills? The left is #15 at Shinnecock 35 years ago. The right is today. I think the current Shinnecock is maybe the best course on the planet. But the old version was amazing as well. And a brute!

I would like to hear from actual Bryson fans: What’s the deal? Three straight MCs at majors should be the impetus to reassess everything. Does he still want to be a serious golfer? I want him to be one. Golf is better when he’s involved. This isn’t fun to watch him stink.

No golf ball rollback until 2030 at earliest. Player and equipment manufacturer feedback certainly played a role. Augusta will not be pleased. Bombs away.

If players have to hit into an area smaller than the tightest dispersion circle of the best players in order for the course not to punish their shot, the course is no longer indentifying skill. At that point, by definition, players are being sorted almost entirely by luck.
