Saturday felt like it brought some closure over Eddie Howe's future. Now there's clarity over his position, the noise around the situation must stop. Howe's #NUFC thrive on unity. PIF & board have to back him in the summer to avoid a repeat of this season

I’d say it takes an elite coach to make a Brazil international from the Joelinton he inherited. Or to make England players from uncapped Burn, Gordon, Hall & Livramento. Isak’s improvement. Murphy being the player he was last season. Taking a team from 19th to 4th in 18 months…

@CraigHope_DM @NE5westend What do you class as an Elite Coach? Howe is a pretty good premier league level coach, but not in the elite bracket Like Pep, Simeone, Mourinho or even Rafa. I believe the "Elite Coaches" sometimes meet up, does Eddie ever get invited?

Surprised you say that mate. I'd say backing Howe, an elite coach who has delivered success way ahead of schedule, is showing ambition. You've seen the bad tines, and it's not this! Champions League last 16 & another semi-final this season. As for Dad's Army, he picked youngest XI of season at Palace & they lost. He has called on Pope/Burn to improve things & it's worked. Doesn't mean they start next season.

For those asking re Eddie Howe’s future. This was from Friday, post Matfen Hall, & situation remains the same. All parties intend & want to carry on. But it’s a little more nuanced than desire. Only with a little more time can we say Howe will 100% remain, but odds are very high!

@Im_RobM Won't back him, only back the club. But next season we should have high expectations on him to finish at least in top 5 coz 1 games a week, no more stupid excuse like Isak saga, Dof quitting & psr this and that when we able to sign players that value more than 50m per person.
