We all know why. No one needs to get a PhD figuring this out. There are more 20-something trans men with canes than among the old folks at the nursing home. Almost all of them that I know personally class themselves as disabled. I’m talking 18 out of 20 or so. They have long covid, CPTSD, chronic fatigue, and ehlers danlos. It’s a requirement. None of them blame cross sex hormones for their problems. The call is coming from inside the house. The mental health is a war zone. The only power you have is in your increasing helplessness and dependence. This becomes a classic trope intersectional wet dream. I am not just a funny looking fat woman NO I am a queer disabled trans sex positive fat positive poly revolutionary with an invisible illness which is a lot of words to say I’m an unemployed obese woman in a cult with the worst bangs ever inflicted on a woman in recorded human history. It’s not that you lack coping skills you’re just disabled so anyone requesting you employ a coping skill is actually bad and wrong. You aren’t in a disastrous relationship going nowhere with an equally emotionally crippled weirdo you’re in a transcendent dynamic that embraces radical freedom. Listen as a funny looking chubby woman myself I encourage you to just embrace yourself and live well. Five stars. I know working sucks and your knees hurt when you get too fat but you don’t need to chop off your tits and call yourself Phoenix as a political statement. Just develop some coping skills such as a sense of humor, ditch the unhinged friends you made along the way, work out with new friends, touch grass, get a kind and fun chubby boyfriend who likes to make you smile. Get some sun. Go to church. Wash your hair. Bravo now you don’t have to be so damn mad all the time. Most importantly you don’t have to pretend to have the classic diseases of your old social circles. You have depression, pain, fatigue, anxiety, and insomnia because you’ve wrecked your life, your mind, your body, your finances, you social circles, your family, and your relationships. The cure is not leaning in. Lean out. Lean away. Flee your own bullshit.
