Cocktail (1988) won a Razzie for Worst Film of the Year, and I demand a recount. It shaped bar culture. It looks gorgeous, you get Elisabeth Shue AND Gina Gershon, an ultra-charismatic Bryan Brown, and Tom Cruise doing Tom Cruise-type things. That bad? Or do we love it a little?

The judge is also a guy doing a job. And he sits there and is berated all day every day. His life is nothing but assholes yelling at him. He deals everyday with LAWYERS or (accused) CRIMINALS. Having empathy for people also means having empathy for a guy that likely deals with bullshit everyday and probably has a low tolerance for it.

Judge Idiot can be a douche all he wants to defendants and attorneys, but he can't act like that to peers and coworkers.

The IT guy was acting like a peer. “Ah false alarm” as in there wasn’t a huge problem and it was easy to solve. A court room doesn’t work like that though. It works under STRICT hierarchy and a judge is NOT anyone’s peer. In defense of the judge- you can’t let stuff like that slide in your courtroom if you want to maintain the image of you being in total control of the room. Which is his job. In defense of the IT guy- he didn’t mean anything by it and he successfully fixed the problem. No huge problem here.

@SeanTrende I flew once a month SEA to PDX to see my Dad in the 70's and 80's. They'd give you a red & white striped button to wear with the airline name on it to signify you were unaccompanied minor. The stewardesses always would group the kids in the same row and hook us up with Cokes! 🤣

Dropped my son off for an unaccompanied minor flight and they give you a gate pass so parents can take them to the gate. You have to sit and wait until the plane takes off. Nostalgic, because this is how it always was for flights until 9/11. You always sat and saw family off.
