@TheBushCenter @igorsushko @ZelenskaUA This is outstanding leadership. Nice to the relationship with Ukraine.

Today, President George W. Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush welcomed Ukrainian First Lady Mrs. Olena @ZelenskaUA to the Bush Center.
“We admire your country’s bravery and ingenuity,” said President George W. Bush. “We want the people of Ukraine to know that we continue to stand with America’s ally, Ukraine. You are fighting for freedom, and I believe you will prevail.”
Ukraine’s defense against an unprovoked full-scale invasion from Vladimir Putin has now entered its fifth year. Vladimir Putin is responsible for the gravest security crisis on the European continent since World War II. The Bush Institute continues to believe that now is the time to stop him – and to do so, the U.S. must continue its support of Ukraine.

@mobbs_mentality It’s baffling. Why is intercepting missiles headed for civilian targets an escalation. Beyond tragic. Well said
English

It was known this attack was coming.
I assume partners were informed.
Did a single country attempt to stop it?
Speak not of reconstruction plans and security guarantees. For what?
The war worsens.

BREAKING: Russia has launched more than 20 ballistic missiles against Ukraine over the past 2 hours. Several of them have targeted Kyiv. Drone swarms are also attacking energy infrastructure. It’s -15 degrees (5°F) in Kyiv tonight

@newstart_2024 This is way overstated. Dr will still play crucial role. Medicine is not binary

Elon Musk's jaw-dropping prediction (Jan 2026):
“Don’t go into medical school.”
Elon Musk: “Yes. Pointless.”
In 3 years (2029), Optimus robots will be better surgeons than any human on Earth — at scale.
By 4–5 years? Not even close. The best medicine in the world will be free — better than what the President gets today.

3–5 years until AI surgeons dominate?
Exciting breakthrough… or terrifying replacement?
Your honest take.

After a very productive meeting today with President Trump on a variety of issues, he greenlit the bipartisan Russia sanctions bill that I have been working on for months with Senator Blumenthal and many others.
This will be well-timed, as Ukraine is making concessions for peace and Putin is all talk, continuing to kill the innocent.
This bill will allow President Trump to punish those countries who buy cheap Russian oil fueling Putin’s war machine.
This bill would give President Trump tremendous leverage against countries like China, India and Brazil to incentivize them to stop buying the cheap Russian oil that provides the financing for Putin’s bloodbath against Ukraine.
I look forward to a strong bipartisan vote, hopefully as early as next week.

The only people who call the U.S. and Russia "Friends" are Pro-European propagandists and liberal Americans who want attention.
No sane American, left or right likes Putin's Russia. We literally learn in middle/high school how bad the Cold War was and how authoritarians like Putin are the scourge of civilization...
That doesn't mean we have to like Zelensky, but we certainly hate Putin far more. Anyone who doesn't agree with what i said is either brainwashed, uneducated, or part of the "liberal" propaganda machine.

@NewReaganCaucus Dead on. Can’t imagine the BS he is dealing with to be effective

@GeraldoRivera Question is - is he going to get this right for the people of Venezuela or is he going to jump in with his Russian friends
English

@mobbs_mentality Curious what deal if any Trump cut with Russia which is potentially linked to Ukraine

A reminder that American power isn’t theoretical.
When we decide to act, we can reach anyone, anywhere, with speed, precision, and overwhelming effect.
Deterrence works when adversaries believe this - and today, we reminded them why they should.

🚨SCOOP from @CBSNews: Venezuela's Maduro was captured by Delta Force, the US military's elite special mission unit, sources tell me.
English

Today we are witnessing a powerful moment in history. The people of Venezuela are celebrating the removal and capture of cartel backed dictator Maduro whose grip on power was fueled by corruption, cocaine trafficking, and the destruction of countless lives and families.
Drugs have stolen futures, broken homes, and buried generations in pain. Justice matters for those lives.
As Spiritual Diplomats, our heart is always for peace. We pray for dialogue, reconciliation, and peaceful resolution. But there are moments in history when force becomes necessary to defend the innocent and to stop evil from continuing its devastation.
I am grateful that this United States backed operation led by President Trump ended swiftly, measured in minutes rather than years of bloodshed.
This is peace through strength. It is the defense of millions of innocent Venezuelans who are now lifting their voices in gratitude and hope. A nation long oppressed deserves freedom. A people long silenced deserve democracy. And families long broken deserve a chance to rebuild.
Today we stand with the Venezuelan people and affirm their right to live free from fear, corruption, and tyranny. May this moment mark the beginning of healing, restoration, and a future filled with dignity and hope.

We praise the extraordinary bravery and precision of our service members who carried out this dangerous operation without the loss of a single American life or piece of U.S. equipment. I also commend the U.S. Cyber Command, which played a significant role in these integrated military operations.

@mobbs_mentality He is best of the best. Tragic he wasn’t empowered to do what he was rightfully hired to do. History will write the story. This administration failed - I will stop there.

“Putin is the problem; Ukraine is not. Putin is the obstacle to peace; Ukraine is not. Putin is the one who should feel as much pressure as possible, not Ukraine. Putin is the one who started this war; Ukraine didn’t,” says David J. Kramer, executive director of the Bush Institute.
Kramer suggests that the United States, along with European allies, should increase military assistance for Ukraine and ramp up sanctions against Russia and its accomplices. “Ukrainians want to end the war as soon as possible, but they also reject, and rightly so, the idea of territorial concessions,” says Kramer.
