I am of course disappointed that I wasn’t selected to represent the people of North West Norfolk, but my sadness is mitigated by Labour’s astonishing performance. What a result! I am optimistic for our country’s future under our new PM. I believe this government will be transformative and will help heal our social wounds. Heaps of thanks to my agent Debs, my election team and all the volunteers who helped. There are so many miles to be walked in this constituency! Congratulations to the returning MP @jamesowild Hoewever, he can expect a new level of scrutiny from a revived local Labour Party.

@WestNorfolkRob So let me get this right. Both you and James Wild claim to have ‘championed’ the QEH… a hospital that hasn’t yet been built? What did you contribute? Where’s our new building? As you said, they haven’t even started the car park yet.
