Enjoyed sharing the stage with @Saxonbaum, Managing Partner at @FloridaFunders and Becca Brown, CEO at @spARKbyARK in a discussion on “Navigating Tampa Bay’s Tech Ecosystem” moderated by Rachel Feinman, Senior Vice President, Innovation, Ventures and Digital Solutions at Tampa General Hospital and Managing Director, @TGHCares Ventures. Here on the Suncoast, Tampa Bay is home to one of the top startup, technology and business hubs in the nation. 👉 No. 1 Emerging Tech City in the Nation 👉 No. 1 Best Place for International Businesses in the Nation 👉 Top 10 U.S. Market for Tech Talent Growth and "Brain Gain" 👉 No. 8 Best Place in the U.S. to Start a Career 👉 No. 4 Best Place in the U.S. for Veterans to Live 👉 Top 30 U.S. Market for Manufacturing Employment 👉 No. 8 Fastest Growing City in the Nation Tampa Bay early- and growth-stage tech companies raised $891 million in 2025, including cybersecurity giant @ReliaQuest's $500 million round led by @eqt, @KKR_Co, and @FTVCapital with participation from @1011vc and Finback Investment Partners that closed in March. Q1 2026 started with a bang as well with Tampa Bay companies closing 20 venture deals for a combined $415 million across the region. That amount included Sarasota-based @TENEXai's monster $250 million Series B in March led by @CrosspointCP with participation from @ShieldCapVC and @DeepWorkCapital that placed the post-money value of the company at $1 billion, adding another unicorn to the region. The panel was held earlier today at the @DukeEnergy Center for the Arts - @MahaffeyTheater in St. Pete as part of the poweredUP @techtampabay Fest presented by @aligncompliance. A BIG shout out to Meghan O'Keefe, Executive Director at Tampa Bay Tech, and her team for organizing an outstanding program! #Startups #HighGrowth #VentureCapital #Founders #Technology #Innovation #EcosystemBuilders #StartupTB #StartupFL

Developing and nurturing talent is crucial not only for the 145+ Florida-based early-stage tech startups and growth companies that are part of the @EmbarcCollectiv community but for the startup and innovation ecosystem in Tampa Bay and across the state of Florida. “At Embarc Collective, we know early-stage founders spend countless hours building their most valuable resource: talent,” said Dr. Tim Holcomb, CEO at Embarc Collective. “That’s why we’ve invested in partnerships with organizations like the Genspiration Foundation and @BankofAmerica Foundation to fund student internships and expand the region’s tech talent pipeline. This commitment is critical not just for our startups, but for the entire entrepreneurial ecosystem.” As one of the fastest-growing tech hubs in the country, our region’s momentum depends on creating stronger connections between students, founders, universities, and ecosystem partners, ensuring tech talent can circulate between venture opportunities in ways that create density in the network and produce real pathways for talent to capitalize on opportunities to build high-growth startup careers. While marketable skills can be developed through education, training programs, mentorship, and deliberate practice, we understand that optionality, what Paul O'Brien describes as "the presence of credible and competing opportunities" (see seobrien.com/workforce-deve…), cannot be built through talent programs alone. In addition to internships, Embarc expanded its collaboration with universities to create multiple entry points into startup careers. For example, more than a dozen Embarc Collective member companies have participated in STEM-focused capstone projects with Florida Polytechnic University over the past three years, including three during the current academic year, allowing students to work directly on real-world startup challenges. In addition, Embarc Collective hosted 300+ students from the University of Tampa through classes and student organizations during the current academic year as well. This program is having a tremendous impact on our member-companies as well. As Brody Enwright, Senior Director of Growth and Operations at @threshold360, shared: “It has proven to be a vital, high-impact resource, delivering a major benefit by providing top-tier talent essential to a growing company like ours.” At Embarc Collective, our mission has always been to help founders access the talent, capital, and connections they need to scale—and this work is critical to strengthening the long-term future of Florida’s innovation ecosystem. Florida's $1.87 billion GDP ranks Florida as the 15th largest global economy, and the state's 70% growth over the past seven years ranks Florida as "... the fastest growing economy in the world." But that's just a small example of one of the largest and most impressive economies in the world. Florida leads the nation in several other key economic categories as well. 👉 No. 1 for New Business Start-Ups 👉 No. 5 for the volume of venture transactions and #7 for total venture funding raised 👉 Top 3 State for Business 👉 No. 1 Economy in the Country 👉 No. 1 Higher Education System (for 10 consecutive years) 👉 No. 1 State for Manufacturing Job Growth 👉 No. 1 State for Net Income Migration 👉 No. 1 State for New Business Migrations 👉 No. 1 State for Black-owned businesses 👉 No. 2 State for Hispanic- and women-owned businesses And here on the Suncoast, Tampa Bay is home to one of the top startup, technology and business hubs in the nation as well. 8 Fastest Growing City in the Nation And more. If you walk into the House Chamber, you will see “In God We Trust" inscribed in the marble right above the head of where I stand as the Speaker. Congress put that there as a recognition of who we are: one nation under God.  Today’s @Freedom250 Rededicate250 event is a great celebration for the country, and we're excited to be a part of it.

Two hundred and fifty years ago today — on May 17th, 1776 — the Second Continental Congress called for a day of humiliation, fasting, and prayer. Today, exactly 250 years later, we gather to do the same. To humbly ask once more for God's mercy and guidance — as we enter the next 250 years of this republic.

Meet Byron Crowell, founder and CEO at @EmbarcCollectiv member-company Allsource Data Corporation. Tampa-based Allsource Data Corporation is an AI-native marketing platform that transforms first-party data (website, CRM, transactions) into actionable, high-converting audiences, increasing digital ad performance and resolving anonymous traffic without relying on third-party cookies. Allsource uses AI to enhance agency capabilities—not to replace agency expertise—augmenting human judgment with data-driven insights, keeping strategists in control while automating the tedious parts of audience intelligence. The company's SmartAudiences™ AI to create, test, and deploy customized lookalike audiences and targeting models based on a company's internal data, such as customer orders, website traffic, and churn data. This approach aims to reduce advertising spend by as much as 2 to 3 times and improve lead generation by focusing on high-intent, first-party data rather than external data rentals. To learn more about what inspired Byron to launch Allsource and the pain point the company's AI-native marketing platform addresses, check out Embarc Collective's "Featured Founder" article here: embarccollective.com/resources/byro…. One of the biggest takeaways from @EmbarcCollectiv's 2026 Early-Stage Venture Summit, powered by @FloridaFunders, is clear: Tampa Bay is quickly becoming a growing hub for technology and innovation and its ecosystem has quickly gained national attention as a region that has the resources high-growth tech companies need to launch and scale their businesses. A recent WFTS @tampabay28 feature hosted by Tampa Bay 28 special projects reporter @MichaelPaluska spotlighted the region’s growing momentum in AI, startups, and tech innovation—and highlighted the role founders, investors, and ecosystem builders are playing in not only shaping what’s next but also reshaping and creating the jobs that the region's workforce will fill over the next decade and beyond. “Those early-stage companies that take advantage of technologies like AI in the future will likewise produce jobs in the future as well,” Embarc Collective CEO Tim Holcomb said. “I think one of the things we've seen here at Embarc is that we have 145 early-stage tech startups in the community today, they support over 1300 jobs, all Florida-based, driving over 100 million annually in direct economic benefits to the state. So I can say with confidence, a resounding yes, that those early-stage companies that will take advantage of AI in the future will likewise produce jobs in the future as well.” To access the full interview with WFTS, including insights shared by Ryan Bailey, Founder and CEO of Embarc Collective member-company @myelai_inc., visit tampabay28.com/news/region-hi…. #Startups #HighGrowth #VentureCapital #Founders #Technology #Innovation #EcosystemBuilders #StartupTB #StartupFL

According to the latest data from the @FLChamber @FLChamberFDN Foundation and @FloridaTaxWatch, more wealth relocates each year to Florida than to any other place in the U.S. In fact, approximately $39.2 billion in net wealth transfers to Florida EACH YEAR To put that into perspective, that amounts to $4.48 million in individual net assets transferring to the Sunshine State every hour Today, some 115 billionaires now call Florida home; and their numbers are swelling each year. In the past three years alone, the following billionaires have established residence in the Sunshine State: Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Stephen Ross, Ken Griffin, Larry Ellison, Larry Page, Sergey Brin and most recently, Howard Schultz, among many others. Why? 1. Capital shifts to where it is treated well. 2. Where wealth migrates, good jobs tend to follow. 3. When newcomers succeed in a location, others want to join them.
