State media reporting that @HSNQ_NISA agents have conducted an operation in Galka Saalimow village, Lower Shabelle region, killing 21 militants and wounding 10 others, Sunday. Govt claims nearly 200 militants killed in four days, figure not yet independently verified.

We’re saddened by the loss of our staff member and a family relative of FAO staff during last week’s attack in Mogadishu. National staff work at the frontlines & too often bear the brunt of such attacks on humanitarians. We stand with our staff & all Somalis during this time.
