@TimmehTimmehhh I don’t know a single person in corporate who loves their job or even wants to be there. Completely dysfunctional work environments that are sucking the soul out of people.

Anyone else feel like Australian corporate life has become completely cooked? Not sure if this is a rant or if I’m just burnt out, but Australian corporate life feels genuinely cooked at the moment. Hiring is a mess. So many jobs feel like they’re already filled before they’re advertised, but you still have to jump through 3–4 interviews, do the awkward “why do you want to work here” dance, then get ghosted or sent a generic rejection three weeks later. Then you finally get a job and half the time it’s endless restructures, new priorities, new managers, new acronyms, new “ways of working”, but somehow the actual workload only ever goes one way. The fake positivity does my head in too. Everyone pretending to be excited about “change” and “culture” while quietly drowning. Morning teas, RUOK emails, wellness webinars, all while people are doing the work of two or three roles and stressing about rent, groceries, fuel, mortgages, insurance, whatever else has gone up this week. And the commute stuff is insane. Dragging people back into offices so they can sit on Teams calls, lose two hours a day travelling, and spend more money they don’t have, all for “collaboration”. I don’t know. It just feels like the social contract has completely fallen apart. Work harder, get paid less in real terms, live further away, own less, pretend to be grateful, and keep smiling. Maybe I’m just jaded, but it honestly feels like a lot of us are becoming strangers in our own country. Like everything is technically “fine”, but it doesn’t feel like it’s built for normal people anymore. Anyone else feeling this, or have I just had one too many corporate town halls?

@TimmehTimmehhh The irony of calling corporate life cooked, while demonstrating the exact behaviours that make corporate life cooked. Ok so i got my nasty comment out the way - feel better now 😉 ..in summary, yes. What you described is 💯. It's fucked. It's true. Depressing. What's the answer?

@TimmehTimmehhh Mate, you’re not alone, I saw someone’s CV, it is seriously world class by anyone’s standards…..and I mean world class, he hasn’t been able to get a job in the past 10 years despite applying for hundreds. Had he been a female he’d have got Board Positions.

15 million Jews. 8 billion people on Earth. But apparently we run the banks, the media, and all world governments. I mean, you have to admit our productivity is off the charts considering we do this entirely in our spare time.

A few years ago I went into a charcoal chicken shop in Melbourne and ordered a half chicken and chips. Paid $14 (can't remember the exact figure) and waited. While waiting I started to noticed the rainbow flag stickers, always was always will be and an assortment of other brain rot. The guy packs my order and as I go to take it he tells me he gave me too many chips as the pack comes with a medium chips but he'd given me large. He said I needed to pay an additional 50c. I laughed thinking he was having some fun. I realised he wasn't. I said no. He said ok. Then proceeded to take a small handful of chips out of the already packed box. It's a moment that will stick with me. I remember as a kid we'd play at the basketball court and then go get a chicken strip snack pack from the Wog run fish and chip shop. It was 3 strips and some chips. We didn't have much money and they could see there were a few of us who had pooled our coins. They'd always give us 5 strips and a large chips and throw in a big bottle of softdrink and some plastic cups. Sounds like an odd thing to remember but it's a memory of what we've lost as a country. I had hoped my kids grew up in a high trust society, where kindness and community were important to everyone. Australia no longer has that, at least I can't see it. So we moved and found it elsewhere. High trust. Brilliant community of like minded people. I hope Australia returns to its roots.

I’m Muslim. I believe Jesus was one of the greatest prophets sent by God. But I don’t believe he is God or the son of God. So according to Christianity… am I automatically doomed to hell?

@kevinnbass You rephrased it wrong Should read 'Israel is the main fake style democracy that allows the planting of mossad agents to lure those in high ranking positions to rape and eat kids, so that it can be caught on film and then used to blackmail most western nations'

Israel is one of the only Western-style democracies that remains aligned with the values of the United States. Most European countries have betrayed Western values and are being strangled by bureaucrats, radical leftists, and Islamists. Israel is one of our only allies not allowing themselves to be overrun by leftists and Islamists. Yet I don't see anyone throwing a fit about the support of the United States for these gross European countries. Only Israel. This is completely backwards. It is a completely inverted perception of reality. Why? Why do you condemn one of our only allies that shows a willingness and eagerness to still fight against the dark forces that are overrunning civilization almost everywhere else?

Tomorrow is the beginning of my last full week living in Scotland. Next Sunday (7 June), I will be making Aliyah, moving to Israel, and becoming an Israeli citizen. For years, I have written and spoken about Jewish peoplehood, indigeneity, exile, and home. Now I get to live it for myself. Not as theory. Not as history. But as my reality. After 2,000 years of exile, it is extraordinary that Jew can come home.
