Religion has nothing to do with what rights people should be allowed to have. The constitution protects you from governments telling you what you can and cannot do. Governments are inherently evil and that document protects the individual from their government. Whether the rights come from god or not is irrelevant. It’s that the government cannot become tyrannical and step over the line of what freedoms a person has the right to have as a human.

@MarvinTBaumann Unfortunately Libertarians can’t get elected because everyone only ever votes democrat or republican. Either way both options suck.

Americans are only here to maintain their sphere of influence. They will never fight Russia. France shows how it's done; kick them out. Replace them with Ukrainians and other Europeans as proposed by Europe's first Defence Commissioner! A true European Army 🇪🇺🪖

His statement is a bit broad. The heatpumps and insulation may save energy usage, but probably not by half. EVs use electrical energy but do they save energy compared to conventional cars? It’s nuanced - depends over what period and the source of the energy supply that is “fuelling the cars. In any event, we are not magically going to transition to EVA overnight. and, if we did, we wouldn’t have the resources to charge them all. I love the way th entire audience is entranced because he states immediately that he’s an engineer. And scientist by background. Ok then, game over!

Gent in yellow, "I'm an engineer, a scientist by background, and what I really care about is energy" "And that's one of these things which I feel has been turned into a culture war" "So let me say one thing" "We know that heat pumps, insulation, EVs, etc can save half your energy usage" "It's a massive difference" "And Iran, while, and this is not just about climate change, we can use as a strategic reserve" "We can use that oil for aviation or AI data centres" "But we've got politicians here on the table today, I believe, who deny these facts" "And why should we platform you when we can save that money? The energy. The money" "And this also means that we're not paying the oil money to Russia, which uses it to strike Ukraine every day, and we pay again for defence missiles" "So it's a very serious question. And this is the science, this is the fact. You cannot say that that does not save half the energy."

@CoreyWriting With a muscular build that is very reasonable. When I was in high school I was 185 at that height and only 7% body fat. Bone density and muscle mass play roles in weight also. Not just fat…

Something a lot of people don't see. Trump thinks US troops in Germany are there to protect Germany. They're not. They're there because the US needs the bases to be able to carry out US operations beyond the north American continent. Trump doesn't understand this basic fact.
Rep. Don Bacon 🇺🇸✈️🏍️⭐️🎖️@RepDonBacon

The continued attacks on NATO allies are counterproductive. The comments hurt Americans. I commanded the huge Ramstein AB in Germany. The two big airfields in Germany give us great access in three continents. We are shooting ourselves in our own feet.

Sex is only sex when consent is freely given, informed, and revocable at any time. Everything else is rape. Parliament is once again pushing for an EU-wide definition of rape centred on the absence of consent.

@JumpSeatMedic @WallStreetApes The part where you lose 2-3 billion in tax revenue and 680 million in donations for the city. Also the loss of 15,000 full time jobs which is significant tax revenue lost.

Increasing taxes for second homes = more governmental revenue for the city to better peoples lives. People don't want to pay the tax and refuse to buy a second home = More homes in the city for people to buy thus increasing supply thus bringing housing costs down What part of that doesn't benefit the average person?

The eastern front would have been lost without the USA… that is a fact. Stalin himself said it. The USA was actually a part of every single front of the war and all fronts were basically losing or at a minimum not gaining until we joined… hard to run tanks and planes without fuel and food for people or trucks and trains. Then add that Japan could have come in from the south if they were not too busy with the USA in the pacific.

They teach their children that America won World War II. Which is, and this is important, not technically false but is also a form of organized forgetting. The Soviet Union lost 27 million people defeating Nazi Germany. Twenty-seven million. The Eastern Front was the war. What happened in Western Europe after D-Day was, from a military scale perspective, the closing chapter. Americans know Pearl Harbor. They know D-Day. They know Hiroshima. They do not, in general, feel in their bones the weight of 27 million Soviet dead as a fact that shaped the outcome of a war they believe they won. This isn't ignorance. It's curation. History gets curated to produce a specific psychological output: we are the people who save the world. We showed up, we sacrificed, we won, we rebuilt Europe with the Marshall Plan, we were generous in victory. This narrative, repeated for eighty years, produces citizens who experience American power as inherently benevolent by historical nature. And those citizens then cannot understand why anyone resists it.
