@FFXIVLizard @PSA_Sitch @Notwithsitting But it's only more useful because you're used to it. There is practically no diffence between Celsius and Fahrenheit in everyday use. Both can be estimated as well.
The only difference is if you have to convert, it's more useful in celsius.
English

@PSA_Sitch @Timoyr3 @Notwithsitting I mean it makes more sense than expanding the scale and arbitrarily making Water boil at what we label as 200 or 1000 so you get a more granular scale.
Metric is better if you are calculating things, doing science or math, Imperial is more useful for everyday things like cooking.
English

@Timoyr3 @Notwithsitting Having to use decimals is just admitting Celsius is inferior.
English

@PSA_Sitch @Notwithsitting Why are americans so afraid of decimals 😭 We have more range than Fahrenheit as you don't use them as far as I know.

English

@Notwithsitting Having a wider range of numbers that apply to everyday temperatures people actually experience is far more useful.
English

@CryptoCyberia @RealBSP3 When was the last time you've looked into Oled? 1000 hours of playing Fortnite irl won't cause Burn-in in modern Oleds unless you have a faulty unit.
If you watch modern tests, 1000h constantly playing same bright logo won't even cause it. Rthings tests for a year like this.
English

@RealBSP3 Plasma looked amazing for sports. Perfect blacks, extremely high-quality motion, great colors.
It was very expensive, heavy, and suffered from burn-in, but the burn-in was more like CRTs and not like OLEDs, where even 1000 hours playing Fortnight will burn the UI into the TV.

@_prashanthn @SandyofCthulhu It's also incredibly rude 😭 I thought only american did this...
There's a reason they speed up and cover their face.
English

If you see a real Geisha and you’re not familiar with their speed you will not have the time to pull out your camera and take a shot. One brushed past me while we were walking around the dimly lit streets of Kyoto.
It was only after I saw them rush into one of the houses and slide the door did I realize it was a Geisha. They move incredibly fast, and it was amazing to see them.
English

When I was in Kyoto with my friend, I kept seeing "geishas" walking around. My friend (who lives in Japan) assured me they were not real geishas, but Chinese tourists dressed up for fun.
I asked him, "How can you tell?" He said, "Trust me. When you see a real geisha, you'll KNOW." Anyway went down a notorious geisha street - it was full of restaurants that featured geishas. You had to be a member to get in. And to be a member an existing member had to recommend you. So no way could I get into one of them. They had walls around the grounds so you couldn't even see in.
Anyway, while we were gawking at the cool geisha establishments, a long black limousine pulled up and a geisha got out of the back seat and quickly hobbled into one of the geisha places. I was maybe 10 feet away from her. And friend let me tell you I didn't need a guidebook to tell that she was the real deal. Completely white face-paint. Amazing hairdo with sticks thrust through. Layers upon layers of gorgeous colorful kimono cloth. THAT was the geisha. I kept staring at the place after she was long gone.
So that is my one story of how I saw a geisha. Sorry I was too stunned to pull out my camera and take a picture. Anyway my wife was there so ...

Witnessing an Oiran Dochu, a traditional procession of high-ranking courtesans from Japan's Edo period, with stunning kimonos and their unique Sotohachimonji walk, is truly mesmerizing! ✨🌸

@ShadowLeaderDon @Kunalkadamrag @teyvattabloid Yes, more info on why our sibling became what they did, but our journey isn't about finding them or Asmoday anymore. It's about finishing our journey (all nations) and figuring out the mystery of Teyvat that made our sibling want to stay and change it.
English

@Kunalkadamrag @teyvattabloid No, almost every region we've visited was us saying "we're going to the next nation to see if we can find info there", you learn that from the end of every last AQ when you are usually talking to the archon of that region
English

@MARIOMAN1ro @teyvattabloid Nah, first we wanted to meet the Archons (for info), but then we wanted to finish our journey across the nations (like our sibling did). So Unknown God became a side quest after we met our sibling and they told us to finish the journey.
English

@teyvattabloid If i remember the dialoges right, at some point we decided we needed to get the power of the 7 elements

@22Coolboyo @KeyJay115 They released the slim model a bit over year after PS3 had surpassed X360 in Europe. It was still the og 60 and 40gb that overtook it Europe (& Asia).
In the NA & Australia it took until many years of the slim to overtake X360 (which is why Xbox had such a cultural impact there).
English

@Timoyr3 @KeyJay115 They were. PS3 catching up after they released the slim version for $299 if i remembere right. They only managed to outsold 360 around December 2012 or early 2013. More affordable console price and better exclusives boosted the system’s sales.
English

Remember when the PS3 launched at $599.99 in 2006 and people (rightfully) lost their fucking minds
Hunter 🎮@NextGenPlayer
PS6 could cost $1000, says analysts “We're quickly moving towards a world in which a $1,000 console will be the norm, and console gaming will become a luxury expenditure” ▶️ pushsquare.com/news/2026/03/u…
English

@Gennaro38127623 @Horror_Hellfire I'm talking just Europe. I know Xbox was a big deal in the US. I remember how big of a culture shock it was when I started following english speaking youtubers.
I'm talking about the original model. In Europe it surpassed X360 a year before the Slim (popular in US) came out.
English

@Timoyr3 @Horror_Hellfire Means nothing. People remember the 360 more, more copy sold doesn't mean quality. Plus, the ps3 was re released 3 times with different price.
English

This is why they keep bending y'all over. What happened to the PS community that pushed back on the $600 PS3? Wtf happened to y'all?
NIB@nib95_
My timeline's once again filled with people buying PS5 Pro's. Getting ahead of the price increase is a no brainer. Even if PS6's out in a few years, you're potentially getting up to $150 extra resale value. #PS5Pro
