People outside of Virginia should not be allowed to decide Virginia’s elections!!

🚨LISTEN UP, because this is actually one of the most sinister and anti-democratic bills that Democrats passed this session. It’s designed to force massive solar developments on rural communities that don’t want them. Currently, Virginia counties can simply say that they don’t want solar - as should be their right. But what Democrats want to do is force local governments to waste time & resources considering EVERY proposed project. What does this mean in practice? It means deep-pocketed solar companies can bombard local governments with proposals until one is approved - even if residents don’t want it. This exact story has played out in many other states - solar companies simply keep proposing bad projects until local residents are too exhausted to oppose them. Everyday Virginians only have so much time and resources to rally opposition to solar. But deep-pocketed energy companies don’t have that limitation. Democrats don’t care that rural Virginians don’t want massive solar farms destroying their landscapes. They just want to virtue signal about “green” energy while communities they never even see bear the cost. Gov. Spanberger should veto this bad bill.
