The implication of this speech bubble seems to be: “Vote Labour to support Keir Starmer, as the alternative is worse”. There is a logic to that, but wouldn’t have expected it from the Mail!

Oh my god .. Oh my god .. Oh my god .. The Ice-cream van is back in the village my Twits .. Hungry husband has gone to London to stay with his mummy as she’s not her best at the moment, So the dog and I are on our own until Monday.. We were sitting watching Midsomer Murders when we heard the twinkling and plinkling of the ice cream van who we haven’t seen for a good six or eight months.. The dog tried to outrun me to the gate, but I elbowed him out of the way..🤣🤣 And we got a biscoff sundae to share .. God I love our ice cream man .. 🍦♥️

If you see this photo, please leave a comment! This is a beautiful Greenfinch.😍 Greenfinches have suffered a huge decline in the UK in recent years due to Trichomonosis, a fatal disease spread via contaminated food, water & bird feeders. When did you last see a Geenfinch?🐦

After a busy breakfast shift today I got loose on the shortbread.. I was asked to make a big batch and separate into three And choose any three flavours that I fancied making into biscuits So I chose Rosemary and Parmesan cheese Pistachio And as an extra sweet treat, I chose honeycomb and chocolate… They are all ready in the fridge to be cut up tomorrow and baked off Which one’s do you prefer? Whilst you twits are deliberating over this conundrum I will put the kettle on…♥️

As you know I’m a hard working girl , But just lately with heating oil double the price and petrol and just about everything we need to exist.. I literally have no pennies, other than paying my monthly bills .. But today I “ wasted” £3 and brought myself a 1st edition John Betjeman poem book .. It was worth missing lunch for …♥️

What a fascinating history of The Hot Cross Bun .. How do you eat yours ..? I like mine toasted with butter and honey .. Hot cross buns are nearly 700 years old. One of Britain’s oldest Easter traditions, still eaten today. The story begins in 1361 when Brother Thomas Rocliffe baked and distributed buns on Good Friday at St Albans Abbey. But in 1592, under Elizabeth I, spiced buns were restricted by law to just three occasions: Good Friday, Christmas, and burials. Thankfully, the tradition survived every ban, every change, every century. The cross marks the Crucifixion. The spices recall Christ’s burial. The fruit represents renewal and hope after fasting. Split, toasted, and thickly buttered, the hot cross bun remains one of Britain’s simplest and oldest seasonal comforts.

@karenfthompson @lookeast I saw that too they filmed at The Swan too- apparently the Lovejoy cast and crew stayed there whilst filming- I wonder if they will again? Jude Law would make a good Lovejoy I think, Ian McShane is probably retired by now, he was easy on the eye back in the day 😉

My young nephew rang me last night and told me that Lavenham has been on @LookEast So hungry husband and i rewound the programme.. It was all about Lovejoy , Twits of a certain age will remember Ian McShane the dodgy antique dealer .. The programme was shot in and around Suffolk , I remember being in Bury St Edmunds one day and seeing a scene being shot .. How exciting to think they might revive the series .. Must admit I had a bit of a crush on old Lovejoy 😊

@CarlBovisNature @PostOffice @RoyalMail My husband sent one to the USA, tracked. When it hadn’t arrived he tracked it to France, where it was marked “undelivered “. Similar zip code …we got it back eventually.

As a reluctant consumer of daytime TV quiz shows, I'm now a connoisseur of adverts aimed at the late middle-aged: quick cremations, animal charities, walk-in baths and touring holidays. Add this to the fact it's never too early to make a casting suggestion, I would like present Robert Knighton for Jonny Rokeby in #Strike & #Ellacott #TheHallmarkedMan. He's even got the right name ffs. 🎸 I've included the, uncredited, Rokeby in Episode 3 of #TroubledBlood because he sounds like him too. 🎥 You Tube, BBC/Bronte F&TV

Draco Malfoy has become an unofficial mascot of the current Chinese New Year, the year of the Horse. ‘Malfoy’ is ‘Ma Er Fu’ in Mandarin, where ‘Ma’ means a horse and ‘Fu’ refers to good fortune.
