@arcprize @podesta_aldo Is this leaderboard on your website like is was for the 2024 competition? It’d be great to have it on right on the home page like in 2024 in order to be able to check quickly on progress, especially as the race starts heating up. I’m only able to find it thru Kaggle.

@golfmetricsapp It’s been abt 9 months since the new app was released, while visually more impressive, the data analysis is severely lacking the old “basic” model. We use the app to analyze data & there were downgrades to this component of the app. Any foresight into positive data improvements?

o3-mini easily creates PyTorch training pipelines. I'm using it to teach AI to play videogames. By default it uses your CPU, but o3-mini will also help you make sure it defaults to using your GPU

@eleusinianatlas @gummibear737 That’s how quick AI is advancing. That ARC Agi puzzle posted, the new OpenAi model O3 (coming out this week) now solves that at a higher rates than humans. 88% It’s also the 175th best computer coder in the world. This was all as of mid December. Now? Good or bad, it’s coming.

@gummibear737 So you see that it just mimics the things of the input. It can't pass the simplest IQ test if doesn't have thousands of its solutions done by humans. There's no "it" capable of understanding. We still have zero idea how we think. There's nothing intelligent in the current "AI"s.

I hope my tech-savvy followers can help, but I'm not sure that the negatives over the Chinese DeepSeek AI breakthrough are what they seem It's an inevitable technological advancement so all that changed is the perception that the West could dominate AI merely through their capital rich markets. Making AI cheaper and more cost effective is a benefit to everybody and was always bound to happen Also, this doesn't ultimately change the West's capital advantages in AI development. It just shifts it into other areas. Let me know what you think I'm getting right/wrong on this or what I might be missing

@MatthewBerman Matt love your stuff. Appreciate the paradox rule and agree with it. But could the fear be that the value of the AI commodity (o1 level reasoning’s value just got cut by 1/30 over night) will drop faster than the increase in demand.

150+gms of protein per day is the key to get in shape. But most people think it's 'too hard'. Rubbish. Here are 5 simple meals to effortlessly hit 150gms+ of protein in just 10 minutes a day: = Thread = 1. Greek Yogurt + Whey Protein for Breakfast.

@V_ShapeFitness This looks great. Anything else put in there to make it more cohesive. Milk? Water? I plan on making it, but I’m imagining between the protein powder and granola, it would be very dry.

@ShotPattern You would move aiming pinpoint, exactly 20 yards right of flag, and your shots gained in the center of the center below the yards would be negative as it’s in the water, but below it’ll be positive bc of dispersion pattern. 2/2

Good call! I forgot to mark those as stroke and distance. I think the thing you’re misunderstanding is that the green +1.14 represents how many strokes you’d gain if you hit the ball to that *exact spot* - not based on the entire circle. If you hit the ball to inside a foot, you’re going to make your next shot. Scoring benchmark for this hole is 3.14. 3.14 - 2 = 1.14 strokes gained on the approach.

Got into a debate with some buddies… When the caddie says “just play this to the middle of the green to avoid the water,” which one are you choosing as your target? Bonus points if you can name the hole.

@ShotPattern Got it! It’s not the average of the interior of the circle, it’s the shots gains at the “pin point” of the circle. And the dispersion average, is reflected by the -.53 below (below the 60 shots) so for example, if you pull every shot 20 yards left, but hit your distance.. 1/2

@ShotPattern Be hard to not only make up those shots, but have the average at +1.14. Love your product, paying customer. Just trying to understand the math to over come those 12 shots or nearly 24 lost stokes in that grouping. Thanks!! 2/2

@ShotPattern R we able to adjust it do that the predicted outcomes to represent your actual shot pattern on approaches vs circle. (I believe it does this for tee shots) If I place a circle over say island green, it appears to give me the circle’s predicted outcome vs my actual shot pattern

@g_rockets @Fit_For_Golf I’d imagine any company with an engineer team that can develop a launch monitor for $15,000 that accurately read ball speed, launch and spin with a tolerance of .5% could have fixed an algorithm that has high launch drives at 158mph carrying 308 yards by now.

@TitleBoxingNYC @Fit_For_Golf I mean any fitter worth his salt gets baseline numbers on your current clubs. I don’t think it’s some major conspiracy and places like club champion and tour spec use trackman for fittings anyway

Saw a player hitting drivers on Trackman and Quad at the same time this week over multiple range sessions. Carry is much further on the Quad. Not just on very low spin drives. All of them. Player & caddy highlighted they don’t drive it anywhere near as far as Quad suggests.

@Fit_For_Golf @g_rockets Makes a club fitters job a lot easier to have the algorithm 20 yards long and club head speed 4 mph fast and in turn easier for the Quad sales rep to the fitter…
