Americans have to keep calling out the outrageous prices for fast food. A Wendy’s combo is $15.99…'sit down' restaurants used to charge this. In 2019, this same Baconator combo was $7.50 Wendy’s major shareholders are BlackRock, Vanguard & Trian Fund Management (hedge fund).

Divorce means you lay a generational curse on your family until someone with more integrity comes along to stop the cycle. Here are 10 uncomfortable truths about divorce: 1. Divorce, whatever the reason, is never to be celebrated. It is always a multi-layered, multi-generational tragedy. It will affect your children no matter their age. And it will affect your grandchildren. And your great-grandchildren. It flows downhill. 2. A divorce will not lessen the fighting or strife in your life. It does nothing but bundle your pain, multiply it by 10, and strap it to the backs of your children. They'll carry it with them for the rest of their lives. 3. Your children will put on a good face, and you'll be able to pretend everything is ok, that you "made the right decision." But they're not ok. You forced them to take responsibility for your own selfishness and failure. 4. A divorce is a murder. The husband and wife are "one flesh," and destroying it kills something that was alive and whole. Dismembering it. You may think you are gaining your life back, but you are really losing it. Your kids know the truth, however. They feel the death. 5. Divorce is contagious. Be careful who your friends are. Be careful who your wife's friends are. A divorce in one group of friends can start a slow-motion chain reaction. If you think it could never happen to you, you are the most vulnerable. 6. A divorce will go off like a bomb in a child's life, no matter his or her age. Even if they are 30+ years old and out of the house, they will feel its ripple effects. It will weigh them down. You can't contain the damage. Wisdom and maturity offer bandages but not immunity. 7. A divorce won't allow you to escape from a key source of your pain and problems. Because wherever you go, there you still are. You can't escape yourself. The risk of divorce is much higher for someone who's already divorced once. 8. Divorce makes literally *everything* harder for your descendants. It will haunt them. Children of divorced parents: - have a 35-60% higher rate of divorce themselves - are twice as likely to drop out of high school - have a greater chance of living in poverty 9. Divorce also takes a hammer to the foundations of civilization. The more divorce, the less stability. The more divorce, the fewer men take on additional responsibility. And the more divorce, the more divorce in the future. It makes the slope steeper and more slippery. And the 10th truth, the most tragic one of them all...👇

@CatholicArena Relativism occurs when an individual thinks their lived experience is a better reference for determining a flourishing future, while neglecting the experience and wisdom gained throughout history

Joseph Ratzinger was elected as pope on 19th April 2005 A day before his election, he delivered one of his most famous and prophetic speeches Coining the phrase 'Dictatorship of Relativism', he predicted how the West would see relativists imposing their will on those who had traditional beliefs It is a compelling and very powerful read, especially in light of recent events in the West: 'How many winds of doctrine have we known in recent decades, how many ideological currents, how many ways of thinking. The small boat of the thought of many Christians has often been tossed about by these waves - flung from one extreme to another: from Marxism to liberalism, even to libertinism; from collectivism to radical individualism; from atheism to a vague religious mysticism; from agnosticism to syncretism and so forth. Every day new sects spring up, and what St Paul says about human deception and the trickery that strives to entice people into error (cf. Eph 4: 14) comes true. Today, having a clear faith based on the Creed of the Church is often labeled as fundamentalism. Whereas relativism, that is, letting oneself be "tossed here and there, carried about by every wind of doctrine", seems the only attitude that can cope with modern times. We are building a dictatorship of relativism that does not recognize anything as definitive and whose ultimate goal consists solely of one's own ego and desires. We, however, have a different goal: the Son of God, the true man. He is the measure of true humanism. An "adult" faith is not a faith that follows the trends of fashion and the latest novelty; a mature adult faith is deeply rooted in friendship with Christ. It is this friendship that opens us up to all that is good and gives us a criterion by which to distinguish the true from the false, and deceit from truth. We must develop this adult faith; we must guide the flock of Christ to this faith. And it is this faith - only faith - that creates unity and is fulfilled in love. On this theme, St Paul offers us as a fundamental formula for Christian existence some beautiful words, in contrast to the continual vicissitudes of those who, like children, are tossed about by the waves: make truth in love. Truth and love coincide in Christ. To the extent that we draw close to Christ, in our own lives too, truth and love are blended. Love without truth would be blind; truth without love would be like "a clanging cymbal" (I Cor 13: 1). Let us now look at the Gospel, from whose riches I would like to draw only two small observations. The Lord addresses these wonderful words to us: "I no longer speak of you as slaves.... Instead, I call you friends" (Jn 15: 15). We so often feel, and it is true, that we are only useless servants (cf. Lk 17: 10). Yet, in spite of this, the Lord calls us friends, he makes us his friends, he gives us his friendship. The Lord gives friendship a dual definition. There are no secrets between friends: Christ tells us all that he hears from the Father; he gives us his full trust and with trust, also knowledge. He reveals his face and his heart to us. He shows us the tenderness he feels for us, his passionate love that goes even as far as the folly of the Cross. He entrusts himself to us, he gives us the power to speak in his name: "this is my body...", "I forgive you...". He entrusts his Body, the Church, to us'

Today, the Catholic Church celebrates the feast day of the vsionary of Lourdes, Saint Bernadette Soubirous. She was known as the visionary who saw the Blessed Mother ,18 times,at a Grotto in Lourdes. It wasn’t until the sixteenth vision that the white-veiled beautiful woman identified herself as the Virgin Mary, saying “I am the Immaculate Conception." From her childhood until her death at age thirty-five, Saint Bernadette underwent much suffering caused by poverty, sickness, and the unkindness of some people. She endured her trials with patience and always maintained great faith and hope in God. Bernadette’s body is incorrupt, till date, which means that it is preserved by God from decay. She is the patron saint of bodily illness, Lourdes, against poverty, shepherds and shepherdesses, and people ridiculed for their faith St. Bernadette Soubirous of Lourdes, Pray for us. Our Lady of Lourdes, Pray for us. Amen

Three years ago today — April 15, 2023 — I walked into the Basilica of Saint Clare in Assisi as a woman deep in sin, public degradation, and spiritual darkness. I walked out marked by grace. In that holy place, I experienced Saint Clare in a way I cannot deny. She physically appeared to me and spoke to me. I know how that sounds to many people. I know some will dismiss it, mock it, or explain it away. But I also know what happened, and I know the grace that followed. The wreckage of my old life began to die that day. In a single moment, years of darkness, confusion, sin, and false identity were pierced I had sold lies and lived them. I called slavery “freedom.” I called lust “empowerment.” I called attention “love.” I called rebellion “strength.” It was all poison. The world cheered while my soul starved. But Jesus Christ did not leave me there. Through the intercession of Saint Clare, He came for me. Not when I was clean. Not when I was holy. While I was still a mess. While I was still guilty. While I was still chained. That is how mercy works. Since then: repentance, humiliation, confession, tears, healing, war against sin, and joy deeper than any counterfeit pleasure I ever touched. Let me be blunt: porn is demonic. Vanity is empty. Sexual “liberation” is often just bondage with better branding. Fame cannot love you back. Sin always overpromises and underdelivers. Christ is better. Purity is real freedom. The Catholic Church tells the truth. The sacraments heal. The saints fight for us. If you are trapped in lust, OnlyFans, porn, adultery, addiction, self-hatred, or secret shame — you are not beyond rescue. Run to confession. Run to Our Lady. Run to Jesus Christ. I am living proof that God still pulls people out of pits the world says are permanent. Saint Clare of Assisi shattered my excuses three years ago today. Jesus Christ is King. Saint Clare, pray for us.

RFK Jr. says being on a carnivore diet helped him significantly reduce visceral fat. “I had a full-body MRI a year ago and I went to this doctor who said my organs were covered with visceral fat.” “I went on his diet, which is the carnivore diet.” “He said I can get rid of all that visceral fat within 90 days.” “Thirty days later I had lost 40% of it.” “The MRI I took this week, I was down to 1 percentile of visceral fat.” “About half the cabinet is on this same diet right now.”

RFK Jr. starts most mornings with steak for breakfast, a big bowl of grass-fed yogurt topped with cream, and a generous side of sauerkraut or kimchi. Zero carbs. Strict carnivore plus ferments only. He’s been eating this way for about 250 days. He shared on the pod that he was having atrial fibrillation every day for four months. A military doctor reviewed his MRI and saw visceral fat blanketing his heart, liver, and organs — and warned things would worsen. So he committed. After just 30 days on the diet, a follow-up MRI showed 40% less visceral fat. He lost 20 pounds of that hidden fat, then regained it all as muscle. The daily AFib disappeared completely — no skipped beats since. He’s quick to note that it worked powerfully for him, but our metabolisms are all different. It makes you wonder how much of our everyday fatigue or inflammation might quietly trace back to what ends up on the plate. What’s one food you’ve added (or removed) that noticeably shifted how you feel day to day — energy, mood, or anything else?
