No college player needs to earn this kind of money.
How does anyone think this is sustainable at the college level? Just go assign schools to be minor leaguers to the NBA franchises and skip the whole NIL farce.

UConn will soon offer a lucrative NIL package to Braylon Mullins in order to hopefully keep him another year. Mullins, currently projected as a mid-1st round pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, can earn around $4-5 million annually if he declared. UConn plans on matching that figure.

@MZavagno11 Because your average NFL team has 56 spots and another 12 spots for the practice squad. No one player, no matter how good, can single-handedly turn around a franchise. So while some NFL teams do try and lose towards the end, pick equity is still close.

So the actually bad teams get screwed and teams who are 11-15 have incentive to tank into the better 4-10 slots. We can do this all day long.

What rule change do you want to see in the NFL?
1) Instead of onside kicks. 4th and 10 from your own 20 yard line after a score to keep the ball.
2) 4 points for 60+ yard field goals
3) 3 point conversion after TD from the 10 yard line
4) college style OT

Sean Miller had to pay $2 million to get out of his contract to move from Xavier to Texas.

Why are we overthinking it?
- 4 years of playing eligibility
- 1 year can be granted via redshirt/medical
- 1 time free transfer; second time you lose a year of eligibility.

Half the players are in the portal, and spoiler alert, most of them aren’t any good.
The majority of the portal are mediocre players looking for seven-figure paydays.
Schools are dumb enough to give it out.
